The problem I had with the plate one was that if it didn't work at a bridge, I had to pay cash (I never really carry cash). The toll collector told me that if the windshield pass didn't work, I could have just handed the pass to her and she could have scanned it. They can't scan your plate from...
See? It's something to do with the windshield. When I called EZ pass the first time to complain, they told me that they recommend the license plate scanner for wranglers. With the JL, I know the windshield is angled more than the JK, so I thought maybe that would fix the problem. Guess not!
I wish we had a sticker. We have the old school plastic box. I've had EZ Pass since it came out and never had a problem until recently. I had it on my 94 YJ in the late 90s and never had a problem!
That looks just like the one I have. I think I'm going to try this first. I don't use it every day. I don't want someone grabbing it when I have the top off.
Where is everyone mounting their EZ Passes? Starting with my JK, I had the regular windshield EZ pass and it worked like every other time. Called EZ Pass and they sent me the license plate mount. I had that on for about 2 years and now that's working like 50% of the time. Called EZ pass and now...
Did you ever get this fixed? This happened to me the first day I brought home my new Jeep. It scared me to death. I was at a stop sign, ESS kicked in, I stepped on the gas to pull out, Jeep stalled and slowly rolled out into a busy street. I didn't have any steering. Rolled across 4 lanes and up...
I have a Thule rack for my Jeep. It honestly takes about 8 minutes at the most to put it on and take it off. I would much rather take the rack on and off each time I needed it than use a hitch ski rack. Thule gutter mount feet attach to your rain gutters. They're rubber coated so they won't...
Same here! Listening to the creaks and pops of this plastic top is still better than pulling all the drain plugs every time it rains.
Is anyone worried about the top cracking in the cold?
Notice all of the stock Jeep pictures are in the desert. I guess they didn't want pictures on their website of a Jeep with solid ice on the wipers. I guess I'll be putting my winter wipers on....or buying new ones because I'm sure the JK wipers won't fit! :giggle:
how do you remove the little pop out key? I’ve been searching around and I’ve watched the videos but I still have yet to see how the key is removed. One thread said a hex driver and another said something about poking. Can anyone let me know? I want to use my spare as a hide away and I don’t...
Discovered this yesterday on the JL I picked up this week. Has anyone driven the JL in winter yet? The JK windshield vents were stupid and the wipers always froze. Why do we have vents that do nothing?
