I think I read about a TSB talks about good enough welds. That is where the subjectivity comes I gather. But that is a visual look at these again not a true measurement. I have no idea..

I think a weld is either fusing the materials together or it is not. Sucking should not be so subjective right? I am no expert. Forgive me as well.

Surely they can ask. I just do not think the dealer will have techs that can identify welds that have not fused. Wouldn’t it take some X-ray technology or something like it? Don’t think the dealer would voluntarily do that.

Yah - the white QC mark is the ironic part of this whole mess!

Many of them were missing the seam weld in you last pic. See my pic below. Caused the weld on the opposite side to fail entirely. No welds in the end!
