Great info here! I did a double take when I configured a JT Rubicon a couple weeks ago, and it was $13k more than my similarly-highly-optioned ā18 JLUR. Different vehicles, I know, but stillā¦
Not having much sense, I placed the order anyway. The day after I placed the order, it occurred to...
Update on my Teraflex ST2 caster issue. Their support said that it was because I had put in 3/4ā spring spacers which made perfect sense. I yanked the spacers and just got another alignment and Iām still at 7.1-7.0. Iām thinking the specs for the ST2 LCAs is bad. Iād hate to have to go to...
I installed their 51001 top hoist and when I went to spool out the cable, I think the slack wrapped around the drum. When I press the down button to let out cable, it just cinches the cable tighter to the spool. When I click up, nothing happens. I was asking them if thereās a way to get the...
True. The thing definitely pulls tho, usually to the right, which I've read is a symptom of high caster. Hopefully I'll hear back from Teraflex tomorrow.
I already have the Cool Tech mount, but I just went to install the tailgate reinforcement kit and discovered the regular mount might not work with it. Do you know the difference between the regular Cool Tech mount and the one for the reinforced tailgate? Maybe it's just the length of the...
That reminded me - I added a Rough Country 3/4ā spring spacer based on a recommendation I saw by [Banned Site] saying that the spacers will correct for the weight of the winch (going on tomorrow). I wonder if that is what is throwing off the caster?
Thatās really strange. I just looked at the Northridge page where I bought my kit. The spacers arenāt called out, but theyāre definitely part of the kit. https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/2-5in-lifts/1354000-teraflex-2-5in-spring-base-lift-kit
The kit comes with spacers to drop the sway bar. The stock bolts have a ton of loctite on them so theyāre fun to get out. After that, the end links are easy.
Good info here. I just installed the same lift/shocks and the caster is 7.1. Sounds like these ST2 LCAs May be the wrong length for this application? @Stingray1976 Did you ever contact Teraflex? If so, what did they say?
I just had my ā18 JLUR aligned after installing 2.5ā Teraflex ST2 lift. They said that the caster is not adjustable? Itās at 7.1 . Iāve seen others in this thread saying 6.0 is ok? How to adjust if itās not factory adjustable? Caster kit?
Yesterday, I started installing a Teraflex ST2 lift, my first time and Iām working alone. I got the passenger front fully apart, but when I went to install the lower control arm, I couldnāt for the life of me get the axle far enough forward to be able to connect the bottom of the arm. In the...
Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I always hand-torque my wheels after a bad experience fusing a socket to lug nut using an impact on a Camaro. Lift is going on this weekend so I'll give the Gorillas another shot when the wheels go back on. If they don't work, I'll take a closer look at the...
Thanks, @Frezski . Yeah when I put the wheels on for the first time, I realized I needed to get the wheel flush against the hub or the lug nuts would rub up against the center cap. I was able to get them all on, but Iām concerned theyāre not seating properly in the holes. Iāll try taking the...
