Been on the Fence about these myself and have been on their waitlist probably three times now. When it's my turn to buy, I just can't justify $250 for them.
Hell, I'll try them for $160 shipped if you'll take PayPal G&S?
So, I had my 18 3.6 Sahara in for new rockers, lifters, camshaft, head gasket, and related parts replacement after passenger side rockers/lifters apparently failed and caused more damage.
This is my first oil change since the repair. I don’t remember the dipstick tube being loose like this...
I like the Backbone system with Rhino Rack’s low mount feet and Vortex bars. I also like Thule Hullavators to hold the boats. But hold on, they’re very pricey! Work great though. I’m not sure how to incorporate camping gear storage with Kayak cradles at the same time. If you only have one kayak...
Hey guys.
I'm trading in my 2018 Sahara for a newer model and would like return it back to stock before I turn it in. I have all the other parts except for the factory steering stabilizer. Anyone got one laying around?
Thank you.
Yes! The spark knock sounds like a jingling, or imagine dragging a chain behind the Jeep. Very distinct. I dropped in the dealer today unexpectedly to check on mine. Mine had the lifter/rocker tick also but not as prevalent as @1988JDFJeep. They determined that the intake lobes on the right side...
I absolutely agree. The cleaning is correcting the effect without addressing the cause. But they won't admit to that ever! Guess I'm one of the unfortunate ones that the problem is more substantial. I'm considering doing the Livernois tune when I get it back to correct mixture issues. Either...
Too late, engine being torn down as we speak. I replaced the PCV with the newest part number, replaced the plugs, run a catch can, and run solely 93 octane fuel. I've done everything I can do except had the fuel system treatment done professionally as maintenance. I will add that to the regimen...
Can't drive the Jeep as it is.
So, in your opinion, are you saying that the BG chemical treatment will do just as well as manually going in and scraping the carbon out by hand? Or at least good enough to restore the efficiency of the engine? Again, not arguing, just asking for educated input so...
In general it may not be serious with the amount of 3.6's out there compared to the number affected. To me personally (facing the $3,000 out-of-pocket repair) I assure you it is serious. It's at least serious enough in the masses that FCA has issued a TSB on it. Stating in the TSB that carbon...
I agree. At under $200 I feel it serves a purpose for sure. But technically it is not necessary. The Jeep will run fine until it gets caked up with carbon. Mine has 73,xxx miles. I'll share my pics when I get them, provided they actually take any!
It has to help, but totally avoided, probably not. I still get a little oil on the clean side of my UPR can but it catches a considerable amount. The PCV valve/system is to fault IMO. My Jeep is in for the TSB now, been there since Monday. After this I will get the full BG treatment done at...
Yeah, I’m familiar with the BG products. Ironically enough, I’m friends with a local sales rep. Here as of late it’s had a few cans of 44K through it, but not the whole fuel system clean. Luckily Jeep Customer Care is taking pretty good care of me with this “repair” even with 73K miles and no...
Thanks for your input, but I'm not sure i'm understanding what you are saying. What's unnecessary? There's no doubt the engine has some sort of carbon or sticky oil residue type buildup in the combustion chamber (or at least the intake manifolds, I've seen that first hand) causing issues. What...
