  1. Transmission Tune for 2.0T

I'll check out the Valitrix but the issue really is the trans as the motor makes plenty of power. I'm not looking for it to hold 5000 RPM but it almost immediately rushes to 7th or 8th gear and does not have the power to quick accelerate to change lanes without at least 2 downshifts...
  2. Transmission Tune for 2.0T

I posted this in the 2.0T section but didn't get much of a response so trying here in general. I own both a 3.6L Rubicon with the Mopar lift and 37s and a stock 2.0T Rubicon. While I think the 2.0T is a better engine as far as torque and overall "snappiness" it is much slower to downshift than...
  3. Transmission Reprogram for 2.0T?

I own both a 3.6L Rubicon with the Mopar lift and 37s and a stock 2.0T Rubicon. While I think the 2.0T is a better engine as far as torque and overall "snappiness" it is much slower to downshift than the 3.6 and quicker to upshift. I end up having to put the 2.0T in manual mode if I'm in...
  4. Flat towing behind an rv.

I just finished installing the plate but the directions don't say where to mount the bracket for the umbilical charge plug. How did you mount yours? BTW, mine was a really tight fit too and I ended up getting it started and then jacking up the baseplate with a floor jack to slide it up far...
  5. 2018 Sport JL Transmission: Auto vs Manual?

I am such a die hard manual transmission guy and it was the availability of a manual that made me test drive the JL. However, it felt a little underpowered but that was mostly because you really need to wind the V6 up to make power, I was expecting it to be more like my manual FJ that makes...
  6. Flat towing behind an rv.

Well hurry up, I just ordered my Demco base plate :). I decided to go with the Dominator tow bar, RVi3 brake system, and the CoolTech deluxe wiring setup.
  7. JLUR battery flatlining when flat towing

You need some sort of powered supplemental brake system to activate the brakes on the towed vehicle. I assume this is what is draining the battery. I'm about to set mine up for flat tow and bought the CoolTech deluxe kit that included the cable to charge the JLUR battery from the coach.
  8. Flat towing behind an rv.

Got any finished pictures of the Demco base plate installed? I assume you bought adapters to make it work with the Roadmaster tow bar? So many options...
  9. Flat towing behind an rv.

Do you have the steel bumper group? It looks like only the Demco base plate works with the factory steel bumper. I'm currently trying to figure out what to buy to flat tow mine.
  10. Replacing Premium Soft Top

I should add that we were pretty bummed about this whole thing yesterday but after we took the remainder of the roof off, we took the doors off, and also put the windshield down for the first time. Then we put the kids and the dog in the back and went for a drive. What an incredibly fun vehicle!
  11. Replacing Premium Soft Top

Thanks Russ. I did see some of his stuff on Amazon but could only find a couple of colors. It also looks like the Amazon link on his web site is broken. I went ahead and ordered some from paintscratch.com.
  12. Replacing Premium Soft Top

Thanks. It looks like I just found it at Quadratech, $2400 is certainly a big oops but at least free shipping. Part number is 82215146. https://www.quadratec.com/p/mopar/twill-full-soft-top-kit-black-jeep-wrangler-jl
  13. Replacing Premium Soft Top

I think we're on week 3 with our new JLUR and my wife accidentally tried to pull it in the garage with the soft top flipped back. With the lift and 37's it didn't fit and proceeded to rip the soft top back, breaking the frame and bending the guides. I managed to get it off so at least we can...
  14. Part numbers for Jl tow wire harness and hitch

Please post back on the wiring install and any issues. The dealer quoted me 6 hours of labor just to install the wiring and said it's a big job. I already have the receiver and for the most part that's all I need but wouldn't mind getting the wiring in place in case I need to trailer something.
  15. Flat towing JLUR behind

I think I'm closing in on the setup for my new JLUR. The Jeep had the steel bumper group on it already so it looks like the Demco base plate is the only one that fits. I don't want to replace the bumper with an aftermarket unit at this point. Since it's a Demco plate I'm looking at a Demco...
