  1. Steering Issue Improved or Disappears After Break-in?

After repeated trips to the dealer, my JL Rubicon still steers itself. Jeep Cares said they support the dealer and no further action will be taken. Since all my previous Jeeps were bought "pre-owned", I always expected to replace parts. Kind of irritating to be forced to install parts on a new...
  2. After purchasing 7 new Wranglers since 2012 I think I'm done

Why is it that these "Jeep things/they all do that" comments show up so often??? Oh yea, as long as FCA sells tons of vehicles they can sit back, create some response group (Jeep Cares) to make the uninformed masses to go away, and laugh all the way to the retirement fund. I've had my JLR to the...
  3. New! Jeep JL muffler elimination pipe

Has anyone made their own pipe? Seems 1 (maybe 2) 90 degree bend pipes would be much cheaper.
  4. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Left it at the dealer to wait on parts. :(
  5. Loose steering feels like it has play and drifts

I took my Rubicon back to the dealer the second day I had it. Same issue, loose steering. Dealership service tech said " they all do that, that's the way they were designed". Bovine defecation ! This is my 4th Jeep, 2 Wranglers and one DJ. the only loose steering was with the DJ, worn out...
  6. Here we go again......

Got my new 2 door Rubicon on Wednesday and took it back to the dealer on Thursday. Same problem as many others, loose steering. The highly all knowing service manager announced "they all do that" because they are designed that way. If anyone is looking for a Jeep in East TN, don't go to...
  7. JL Window Sticker and Build Sheet Order Tracking

Does anyone know of or is it possible to track a jeep that is in transit??
  8. Stupid Things Dealers and their Sales People have said about the Wrangler

First, the salesman tried to show me a Sport and I told him I wasn't interested in that model because of the open diffs. Do you know what the 1000 yard stare means??? After I got him back to the car lot, I told him why I was only interested in a Rubicon. He then showed me the really technical...
  9. Back Up Lights - Replacing Halogen With LED?

I am really confused. The all knowing internet has told me I can / cannot replace my stock halogen back up lights with LED's. Tie them into the existing circuit, new circuit, or ?????? Thanks.
  10. Bumpers

Any time I need to make a bracket, I try to use 1/8" because it's so easy to shape (bend!!!)
  11. Bumpers

I used to think a front bumper should be 1/4". Now I see many 3/16", some 5/32" and, last night, I saw one listed as "heavy duty" 1/8" plate. At what point does marketing take priority over usefulness???? Any thoughts on minimum thickness????
