Man dealers are the absolute worse. I live in southern NM and it didn’t get below 50F last night and my steering wheel was stiff as hell. So tired of this garage and my damned stereo resetting when I plug my iPhone in/do nothing.

I’ve been having the same issue as well. In the 30’s* F for first 5 mins locked up. Took to dealer, they haven’t got a clue. Has anyone had this issue and the tsb above fixed the problem?

Thank you for getting back to me. Turns out the clunking was a rear control arm that was loose, rpms shooting up is suppose to happen apparently.

Happening on my jlu as well. Dealer said it was a pre ignition sound.... said to put higher octane gas. Can tell you right now that’s not going to help. Manual does say a slight knock is normal under the fuel requirements sections. Wonder if this sound is what it’s referring to.
