I have the same exact issue on my 2018 Jeep Sahara JLU. Jeep just replaced windshield header seal, and drivers side freedom panel and the noise still persists, albeit to a lesser degree.
Yes, seems like clearly a growing issue out there. Jeep is replacing my driver's side freedom panel this week, and replacing the whole head/windshield seal. I will report back to to this forum thread once i get my jeep back and have it for a few days under different driving conditions.
Just got my Jeep back from my dealership, after diagnosis they have ordered me a new Freedom Panel (Drivers side ) & Header Seal. Should be fixed / installed in about a week.
This is my exact experience as well....I give Jeep props for adding technology into Wrangler, but still needs more work, or at least the option for the deactivation button to have memory feature.
I can't stand it, I gave it a good 3-4 weeks when I picked up JLU, but now i disable it every time. It is ridiculous that the ESS button doesn't have a memory feature and makes you press it every time.
