Well it’s been a hot minute since I updated my build thread! Not much has changed, still running the pro comp wheels and tires with the 2.5” RC lift.
We did just snag an OE Willys JT bumper in place of the sport plastic. Looks great and was a nice free upgrade while I save for a bumper. Plan...
I don't know so much that having a RTT setup increases the likelihood of stuff being stolen, more that it would increase the likelihood of the site being occupied if/when I came back to it. I think that's more the concern for me at this point, not as much my stuff because I doubt I would leave...
I plan on avoiding official campgrounds as well but do still worry about not having a site to come back to, or stolen stuff, with a RTT. I mean time wise to pack up and stuff is a non-issue for me. The set up we have now is longer and more involved by far than what a RTT set up would be.
I like...
Well and that's been the other debate for us! I like the idea of overlanding or stay one night and move on trips but I also want to be able to stay a little longer and explore the area and to have to pack up every time would suck!
Honestly I don't know. This is my first Jeep and is my daily driver so right now I'm reasonably conservative. Mostly FSR's and some minor rock crawling. Nothing super difficult at this point but I suspect that might change once I've got a bit of experience under my belt.
Hey all,
So I've got a *mostly* stock JLUSport S that I wanna use for longer camping trips preferably off the beaten path. The debate I keep having is whether or not a RTT is worth the $$
I've had it priced out here - for the Rhino rack/pioneer platform ($2600 CAD) and a Tepui 3 person/3 season...
Quick question for y'all; did you have clicks when turning the wheel both left and right? I have the same clicks as the one video I watched a few pages back but it only happens when I am backing out of my driveway with the wheel turned to the left. I haven't really had a chance to get under...
Had mine done last week, I haven't noticed a ton of difference. It wanders slightly less, I don't look like a cartoon character with flailing arms while I drive anymore but I still have the huge dead spot and a bit of wandering.
For those of you that have the rhine rack how is it taking the freedom panels on and off? I am looking at this one but do like to take my freedom panels off as often as I can. I can't tell from the pictures but it looks like it might interfere a bit?
I know you had to wait on the interior lights but was there any availability issue for the recall parts? I've gotta get mine done and I'm also in Vancouver area
I got mine from a Canadian site, justjeeps.com
The reception isn't too bad. Only thing I've really noticed is my AM reception isn't as good but I don't listen to a ton of AM stations anyways, usually just traffic reports. Other than that I'm happy with it!
Thank you! They fit great! Minor rubbing when I'm backing up with wheels fully turned, other than that nothing. Factory lugs don't work but the pro comp ones look great!
Got new shoes for the Jeep!
They are a Pro Comp 17x9 La Paz series with Pro Comp MT 305/65 tires!
I think they look great, can't wait for the lift to get here!
Nope, definitely not alone! I'm a first time Jeep owner, I've always wanted one and even after a month I still can't wipe the grin off my face! Any chance I get I'm out and about in it!
Awesome! How do you like the RC lift? I bought mine the other day from a dealer in Canada, just waiting for it to ship to me then I can do the tires and the rims
