Yes, Sahara and I believe you are correct on the reason for the rubbing. I don't plan to keep the factory rims and hoping a different offest or backspacing on new rims may eliminate the rubbing.
My husband said he measured them before he put the tires on but I was just googling it and I understand why you're asking. I think your right there probably 7.5. My window sticker doesn't have the width but the factory tire size was 255/70R18. Not sure how he got them on but he did.
No, but it needs them since I occasionally rub the frame. The factory rims are just temporary since I'm shopping for rims with the correct offset/backspacing. I'm still clueless on that whole thing.
Here's my Sahara with factory 18" rims with 35 x 12.5 tire but with 2.5 suspension lift. I added the Rubicon hood since I couldn't find a Rubicon in Nacho.
Here's my build so far. I'm new to Wranglers and have no idea what rims to put on. I've put 35 x 12.5 tires on my stock 18" rims with a 2 1/2" suspension lift for now. I like the look of Fuel's Assualt rims but I know nothing about offset or backspace. Definitely want my tires tucked in but...
