I am going to get one eventually and I’m guessing it will need a JK winch plate. It’s the bumper that’s slightly different so the JL winch plate probably wouldn’t match up to the center bumper holes exactly.

T The front JK steel bumpers will fit a JL. It’s just the design is tweaked just slightly on the new JL steel bumpers so the accessories (bull bar etc) from the JK style bumper does not fit the JL bumper. I’ve got a steel bumper from a 2017 Recon on my JL and it fits perfectly

Mine fits just as well as it did on the JK. Everything is tight and it looks factory. The only thing that doesn’t line up correctly is the straps around the front grab handles but that doesn’t effect the functionality at all.
