Sorry it took a while. I saw you got some other measurement, but for the record I'm sitting at 41 1/2 in the front with the additional 3/4" spacers to make for the bumper and winch and 41 3/4 in the rear on 35"s, no spare, plastic rear bumper.
Thanks. Yea your guess is as good as mine at this point. I’m happy with the look and clearance however, any higher would have been too much I think.
P.S. I’m still messing around with castor and tire pressure to eliminate the wobble :swear:Pretty frustrating. Might be upgrading the drag link...
Good piece of advice. It definitely improved after the second and third set of adjustments.
Just got back from the trail and after working through the front bumper/ winch and dropping the tire pressure the difference is night and day. The added weight up front and running at 26 PSI has...
“Did you really just call that death wobble?”
Just another reason for an old crusty Wrangler driver to get a shot in at the new found, exponentially larger population of new Jeep owners perhaps?
“That band was so much better before they went mainstream. They’re sellouts.”
The install definitely required a die grinder to use on the axle side mount of the track bar as advised by MC. I have seen members insist they didn’t require it for application and that was NOT the case. The bushings on the track bar are just far too reenforced to fit the stock mounting...
I have had some members ask me to verify the length of the springs because MC has said the 2.5"s haven't shipped yet. Hopefully this helps for reference: MC True Dual Rate 2.5" Rear coils compared to Rubicon OEM Rears
I did, but with a lift. It was straight forward once I got a couple of questions answered as you might see in the earlier posts. The alignment is another story. I got different answers depending on the day from MC in regards to castor. 6 at first, then closer to 4.5, and then 6 again. Best setup...
Sorry for the delay. Here is the 2.5" on Falcon 2.1s. I will get more pictures this weekend after I swap out the front bumper.
The rear is sitting at 41 3/4" which is an inch and a half higher with the MC GC than when it was on the Rubi shocks and springs (off a hardtop with steel bumpers). The...
Started the lift and a few other things on the Sport today and will be wrapping up tomorrow. Front end is done and I figured I'd post some pictures. The final two is the comparison shots of the front lifted vs. the rear stock (and by stock I mean RUBI takeoffs on a Sport.) I will also get...
Very nice setup and awesome RUBI overall. I just got out from underneath my Sport working on that relocation system and FAD skid. Metalcloak's components are unreal! LOVE EM
The guys at MC talk about the kits being rated under a fully "cloaked" JL. I was told to expect on stock plastic bumpers with minimum armor 3.0"+ on a 2.5" game-changer. Picked up a RC .75" leveling kit for the front to make up the difference for a winch and aftermarket bumper. Rake =.
GlitteryPonies, did you ever make a move on either one of these? Just curious from one Sport to another. I have cleared 35s with just about no trimming of the fender liners with just a Rubi takeoff. Off a steel bumper, hardtop Rubi, the suspension netted me almost 1.75" all the way around.
It will thank you. I found the bracket but tmakaro was right, no mention of any step for installation instructions. I figured once I got it on the lift I would be able to visualize the application, but this will give me more confidence as I'm the first to admit, I'm no expert. But, I think half...
Gonna head out in the garage shortly and lay anything and everything out to get an inventory. Thanks again for another set of eyes during this process.
I must have missed the bracket somewhere. I will go back through the components. I hope this is in fact the case. Where did you find that diagram? I’m working off a little different of a breakdown, mine looks like a Rubicon parts layout. This is why I love this forum and community. Thanks for...
