I learned my lesson, buy once, cry once. I bought a RnR kit , got what I thought was a good deal on it, paid to have it installed, ok fine, it drove like crap but I thought that was the nature of hydro assist and the trade off for increased maneuverability on the rocks, 3 weeks later the brand...
Hi, can anyone with the metal cloak long arm kit snap a few picts of their install? Particularly of the front where the upper and lower brackets mount to the cross member and frame, I’m trying to get an idea of what I’d need to do with my sliders to get them to work with the kit or if I need to...
Hi folks,
Just starting a new thread to see how this is progressing for all of you that have had this issue, my jeep is doing it too.
Did it start as intermittent over several months or was it pretty quick?
Mine pops out of 2nd when I’m slowing down and the jeep is under load but I can’t...
I’m running 40’s, the rear is a 60 but front has the 44 fully upgraded with the RCV’s , Truss, Reid’s, Ball Joints. I ran 39’s for the last year and a half no issues and wheeled several hard trails but that extra inch, lol
so I’m just curious how everyone else’s front axle is doing
Well it took a while started on 35’s and sizes up to 37, then 39’s and now finally 40’s. Cooper STT Pros.
running a fusion semi float 60 in the back and maxxed out M210 in the front. Im pretty sure it will last since I wheel slow and careful.
Just mounted these and got them balanced my jeep drives like butter again, I was getting some steering wheel shimmy, I figure my rims were beat up pretty bad and that’s why.
They installed very easily, took me about 1.5 hours a wheel not counting the time it took to get my wheels broken down at...
Just ordered these guys, 17x9, 3.5 backspace and -44 offset which doesn’t bother me since I’m running 1.75 inch spacers which works out to the same offset.
I’ll post pictures soon as I get them on!
Is anyone running 40’s with the 6 speed, I’m thinking of it but I have 5.13’ and I’m not a fan of regearing to 5.38 on the stock front axle, I have a 60 in the rear
I’ve had the KM3’s 39x13.5 for nearly a year now and wheeled the Rubicon, all of our local weekend warrior trails and a couple out in Johnson Valley where the hard core guys go and I’m very impressed.
Dry Traction on the rocks is great, the rubber compound they used for these grips everything...
Just an FYI, if you do an axle swap and update your Tazer JL to the latest firmware and your ABS locks up try disconnecting the module from your JEEP. I've been troubleshooting this issue since I swapped in my new rear end and finally decided to remove the tazer but not unmarry so that I keep...
I’m at 450 miles with numerous heat and cool cycles, is that good enough to call it done or should I go the full 500. @chevymitchell what do you think?
As the title says, getting an intermittent 2HI light and then a day later or so a service 4WD light hits, it goes away after I restart my jeep.
I took it to the dealer and the guys says he sees it often with lifted jeeps, says the ABS wire gets stretched after a while so I’m thinking of...
**AXLE IS OFFF THE JEEP** $1500 firm
Just ordered a replacement axle, this one is coming out in 3-4 weeks so just posting in advance.
Everything is in perfect working condition. This is a fully built axle, about as strong as you can make the stock M220.
Great for 37’s, 38’s. 39’s and even 40’s...
Just curious, most of the ring and pinion breaks that I have seen or heard about is in the rear.
I really don’t want to spend 12k plus on new axles, at that point I’m better off buying a dedicated crawler but I wonder if I can just upgrade the rear for less than 1/2. Fusion 4x4 makes a sweet 40...
Hi, I've been trying to chase down this low pitched whirring / almost vibration sound, it happens when I accelerate and increases in pitch as I accelerate. It's most noticeable upon acceleration at low speed.
Some thoughts/possiblity
1. Front differential, I asked chevymitchell, he was...
Will my axles last? Time will tell, not really worried about the shafts, tubes and ball joints since I'm trussed, running RCV's and cromos and dynatrac ball joints, it's the Ring and Pinion but I do like the tires. I wheel nice and slow but do run some difficult trails.
They meausure out to...
I'm looking at new tires and I've narrowed it down to two choices:
Mickey Thompson 37x12.5r17 Baja Boss - by all accounts an amazing tire, I run the Cooper STT PRO's and everyone I talk to says these are a step up. They weight 81 lbs.
Geolander G003 MT 40x13.5r17 - a LIGHTWEIGHT 40 at 87LB's ...
