I have experienced something similar, only on the passenger side. It left some white residue wherever the water ran down/dripped, too. If I recall correctly, the dealership had to order a new roof rail and it’s been fine since. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

I had a similar concern and reached out to DD to see if they had a “best practice” that I should follow. In a nut shell, they said as along as it’s not touching, it’ll be fine. Hope this helps!

Based on my experience, I think your proposed approach is probably best to avoid the adjustment headaches. I had left my lights mounted in place and tried to tighten down the adjustment screws, which was quite difficult from an access perspective. I like your idea of gently removing them...

I’m sure prices can fluctuate across the country for various reasons but just to be clear, I removed the rings and only had them powder-coated while the wheels stayed on the Jeep so that may account for some of the difference. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Pretty straight-forward, actually…just took off my beadlock rings and worked with a local powdercoater on the color. The “worst” part was just unscrewing and re-screwing the 24 bolts on each wheel taking the rings off and on. :LOL:

Yep, from what I recall, this is how my changes were handled. Dealer submitted the changes for approval and it took a few days to know whether they were approved or not.

I imagine there are limitations at some point in the process but from personal experience, it’s possible to change an order. My dealer was able to change the color on my order twice (I couldn’t make up my mind).
