Because it turns into every hinge and every door. How can you not notice it? The issue is completely unacceptable and stupity. Even i know you get corrosion from two dissimilar metals that are improperly prepped.
@JeepCares I am just getting around to getting this repaired and have been waiting for 3 months for Jeep to get back to my dealer to get the repair process started. I currently have corrosion on ever hinge on my Jeep doors now. Can you help me start a new case to get this moving please?
Ugh sorry to hear. It looks like every hinge? Mine is only bad on one hinge and starting to occur on a few other door hinges. Im still dreading getting mine repaired.
oh man sorry to hear. I chickened out and rescheduled mine just cuz i feared what you are going through plus the matching paint. I will probably wait until after the holidays now. My dealership did actually offer me a rental car. Hopefully you get it back and it matches perfectly!
I had the same issue a year ago, the jeep would not turn left under 40 degrees in certain situations. There is a TSB for this which is a quick software update that had to do with the power steering.
Mine has not done it since I had the TSB performed.
Bubbles are getting larger and have a feeling paint is going to start chipping off soon, pretty disappointing. I am also starting to notice it on other doors. It has to be some kind of reaction between the hinge and door but both are aluminum? I would assume this is going to affect a-lot of JLs...
I have the same issue. Mine occurs during rapid acceleration mainly when turning at the same time. I have a Sahara with the Dana 44. It occasionally happens at traffic lights but usually only when pulling out of parking spots or accelerating when in a turning lane. Anyone else experience this?
Hey Benny!
Had a few issues putting a lift on over the weekend and wanted to see you could have me with a few replacement parts. These are for a 2018 Moab.
1. Need a bolt and nut for the bottom shock attachment for the front of the Jeep.
2. Need a top nut and bottom bolt and nut for the front...
