Anyone go from 3.45 to 4.56 or 4.88 with 3.6/ 8spd auto flashed.
Currently running 35/12.5 Falkens on my 2018 JLU with a 2.5 Terflex lift. Additional weight would be LoD Signature Series side steps, QRC stubby front with a Badlands synthetic Apex, so all together around 250lbs +/-. I'm...
I have a 2018 JLU Sport S, 3.6 with 8 Speed automatic, 35x12.5 Falken Wild Peaks, 2.5" Teraflex and average 20 mpg. I flashed the computer, see 8th mostly down hill. Mine came with the Dana 44s, so thinking of re-gearing to 4.56 so I can tow and get my 8th back.
I had the Falcons SP2 installed, that’s what leaked. I bought the Fox 2.0s and installed them this evening. Much better ride than the Falcons. I have the Fox steering stab installed, no problems in 36k miles.
Slight rant. Installed the Teraflex 4dr 2.5 inch ST2 system with Falcon SP2 shocks on my 2018 JLU 10FEB20, just under 36k miles on her since and the right front shock just started leaking. Called them for warranty info, standard send pics and proof of purchase, then send it to us so we can...
I feel like I'm constantly working on this Jeep, which is good and bad I suppose. Started with a leaking radiator, after a $900 quote from the dealer, I did it myself for the cost of the radiator and fluid, $180ish. Why install a petcock you can't get to?...
Then the P0301 code hit, R&Rd...
How is this not a recall? Went to the dealer for the 60k or whatever was due and they said, your radiator is leaking. The mechanic said, yeah, they all do, but Mopar has since fixed the seam issue.
Again, if they know its an issue with the 2018 JL, how is this not a recall?
2018 JL...
I’ve got the 4 door Sport S with the 3.45 stock gearing, threw some Falcon 35s on (which 34.25). Prior to flash I was getting 16 mpg combined, after flashing I’m at 18. Did an out an in for a dove hunt last weekend and was at 21 mpg. I know the math for tire to gearing ratio (34.25x3.45 31), so...
Installed the Fox 2.0 steering stabilizer last night, a must and flashed my speedo just now with the Superchips Flashcal. I’m running Falcon Wildpeaks AT with Mammoth 17x9, so my 35s measured out to 34 1/4. Adjusted the speedo and took it for a test drive, what a difference in the shifting...
I just installed the Fox 2.0 damper and noticed an immediate improvement. Guess the easy way to explain it is it deadens the steering wheel a bit, so you don’t make those little inputs/ steers in every time you hit a bump.
It wasn’t as noticeable when I had the stock 31s on, but when I went up...
I just added it to the cart to see what it would cost, the RE JL7100 2.5" is $550, then add the Fox shocks, puts the total to $1126. Pretty sure this is the route I'm going to go with my build.

Did mine yesterday. Used a cordless impact driver, took less than 10 minutes a side to remove and install. The trick to safely cutting was laying down a piece of plywood, then cut along the trim grooves and then sand with some 220 grit with a palm sander.
I still plan on upgrading to an...
