Mine are doing the same thing unfortunately.

Dealer trimmed the gasket around the outside of the windshield and I have been whistle-free ever since. They told me at the time there would be a TSB coming out on it but I’m not sure if that ever materialized. I hope your’s gets squared away soon.

Hi I just saw this and I am thinking I might be the other forum member you mentioned? I had the whistling noise and did tape my windshield to try and isolate it. Long story short, the dealer ended up trimming the gasket around the windshield and after that I’m happy to say the whistling was gone...

After several long trips I can confirm the whistling noise is gone. There is no service bulletin number available at this time. Update 08/17/2018: I dropped the Jeep off for the windshield replacement this morning. In the afternoon I get a call from the service manager who proceeds to tell me that the windshield was not replaced but rather after consulting with the manufacturer mechanical/engineering reps apparently...

Update: New windshield is due in on Wednesday and should be installed Thursday or Friday. Fingers crossed... Appointment is now scheduled for Friday morning. I have a couple hour road trip scheduled for Saturday so that will be a good test.

That’s interesting. This is my first Jeep so I don’t know too much about them but what they have told me is that the gasket is actually part of the windshield. Was that the case with yours as well? Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info and comments everybody. I spoke with the dealership today. They are in the process of getting a new windshield from the factory and they should have a better timeline on Monday. I will update this thread again once I have more info. Thanks again.

Update: I heard from the dealership and corporate denied replacing the windshield. They want it removed and resealed. Dealership and glass company both confirmed that can’t be done because gasket is attached to windshield. Corporate still refused. Dealership is going to speak to their area rep...

Thanks for the info everyone. I had it at the dealership today. They diagnosed it as a leak from the gasket that is around the windshield. Unfortunately the gasket is not available separately so the entire windshield will need to be replaced. Apparently this requires Special authorization from...

Mine just came in from the factory 2 weeks ago when I took delivery so I’m not sure if that is still considered early production or not? The dealer has assured me they will take care of it so when I get it back from them I will update this thread with the results. Hopefully it can be corrected...
