I have owned all three and presently own a 2019 JL Sahara. The Sahara is the best ride on road of the three. The interior is more plus and sound proofed versus the Sport or Rubicon The Rubicon is a better off road vehicle due to the suspension. Pricewise, the Sahara is in the middle with the...
I bought a 2019 JLU Sahara one month ago with the 2.0L. I had a 2018 JLU with the 3.6L and have to say the 2.0L is way more responsive along with way better gas mileage and cost to operate even though it requires premium gas. I also drove a 2020 with the 2.0L at the dealership and found no...
I bought a 2019 JLU 2.0L and am so glad I did. As for turbo's, look how many vehicles have 4 cylinders with turbos. My wife is on her second BMW 430i hard top convertible with 4 cylinder turbo as hasn't had a lick of problems. Prior to the BMW's she had 4 cylinder turbo charged Hyundai Genisis...
One reply said the mpg is a wash. This is not true. My 2018 JLU 3.6L averaged 18 to 19 mpg. My 2019 JLU 2.0L averages 21 mpg and has gotten as much as 24 mpg.
I just purchased a 2019 JLU Sahara with the 2.0L Turbo. I had a 2015 JKU and 2018 JLU both with the 3.6L and by far I am really happy with the 2.0L. The gas mileage is awesome and performance is better then the 3.6L. Final decision is obviously yours but I love the 2.0L.
I totally agree with the fact the 2.0 is more responsive. I traded my 2018 JL Sahara with the 3.6 for a 2019 JL Sahara 2.0 and I can sure tell the difference. The only draw back to the 2.0 is it requires premium unleaded which is quite a bit more in price however the gas mileage should help...
I posted a picture of the Backbone below. Note no bolts attached to the outside like the Slipstream. Undue the Slipstream outer bolts and you have access to the back. Not a great design. I had the Backbone on my 2018 Sahara soft top and loved it. I just traded that vehicle in for a 2019 Sahar...
The Backbone site sells the separate security covers for the soft top versus the hard top. I think there may be minor differences that's why separate covers. Let me tell you, the Backbone is by far the best of the tops mainly due to it's thickness and the way it covers the entire back area. It...
Totally agree. I own a BACKBONE and it fits perfect and looks awesome. I had it on a 2018 JL Sahara soft top which I just traded for a 2019 JL Sahara Hard top. If anyone wants my JL Backbone for 2018 and newer soft top, email me at [email protected]. I am asking $300 for it and its in...
I had a 2018 JL Sahara soft top and purchased the JL Backbone. A friend had bought the Slipstream and when you rode in his Jeep it rattled like crazy. The Backbone is thicker material, easy to install and remove and absolutely no noise. I am selling mine because I bought a 2019 JL Sahara with...
Looks great. I wound up buying the Backbone and am so glad I did. It's an easy install and definitely the most secure cover. Plus it was on sale for $399 in September. I really love it.
