  1. Reluctant newbie trading JK for JL

I went through the same struggle. I had a 2014 JKRU X model in anvil, lifted and setup with some great Maximus-3 add-ons to the X (in 2015 the X became the Hard Rock Edition) and I loved it. 24K mile on it after 4 years and everything was good on it but I really wanted to go with 37's. Then I...
  2. Jeep Wrangler JL Sequential LED DRL & Turn Signals - Morimoto XB LED

Hey Ryan, thanks for all your work and input into what's troubling these lights. I'm one of the editors of Offroaders.com and we were working on an install/review of these light when we encountered the same issue you're having. I contacted TRS about our lights. Seems I got a generic response...
  3. Jeep Wrangler JL Sequential LED DRL & Turn Signals - Morimoto XB LED

Well, you can add me to the waiting list for a sequential mode fix. I spent yesterday and today installing my set that I ordered 2 months ago only to find out they malfunction when the Jeep is running. Thanks 2k2wranglerx for troubleshooting with TRS, your videos reminded me of me doing this...
  4. Massive hole in my Jeep frame

Lol, yea I guess it is. But compared to the frame hole in my JK, this one is massive.
  5. Massive hole in my Jeep frame

That nut is held in place by that nut holder, tab thing that hangs below the frame. They wouldn't need access to it via that big hole.
  6. Massive hole in my Jeep frame

Can anyone explain the logic in putting a massive hole in the Jeep frame located just behind the front tires? To me this seems like a place that will see all the dirt and mud and winter slush and rain for years to come and funnel it right down into the frame where it will sit and hold moisture...
  7. Heater Core Bad

Just before my JLUR went into the shop on Monday I realized the smell was concentrated on the passenger side zone. The service guy said this is the second one they've done recently. Last time he said the heater cores were backordered. Not this time around, seems FCA stocked up on heater cores...

  9. ooo-ooo that air conditioner smell!

My JLUR at 700 miles on it is currently in the dealership service bay for this same problem, just about the same as you describe it, as sweet smell. As my son said the other day, why does your Jeep smell like maple syrup? I really noticed it when I turned on the heat a few weeks ago. Just...
  10. Heater Core Bad

You can add me to the list of leaking heater core victims. At about 600 miles on my 2018 JLUR and when the temperature dipped down enough to turn on the heat, I immediately noticed that funky coolant fluid smell coming out of the air vents. No visual loss of fluid in the reservior or fogged up...
  11. question about the Metalcloak gamechanger Rocksport lift

Hey Swampcat, I didn't see that post and it's exactly what I was looking for regarding the MC lift. Awesome, writeup! Thanks, I'll read that tonight and post any questions over there on your thread. Have a great weekend!
  12. question about the Metalcloak gamechanger Rocksport lift

After you get the MetalCloak Game Changer installed, would you mind posting your thoughts on it? I'm looking at the same system from my JLUR and I'd like to hear how it rides. What size tire you going with? I'll be doing 37x12.50. Thanks for posting!
  13. Check your fuses

I found out about this in a Facebook post where after 1100 miles someone's JL radio stopped working. Before contacting the dealer, he checked the fuse box. The radio fuse was loose. Pushed it in and viola, the radio started working again. Then checked the rest and found that half were not...
