  1. Recommended Dealers List

Add me to the list of satisfied customers from Gupton...order a Rubicon 4xe on 6/5 and drove it home yesterday; bonus was the extended road trip to get acquainted with the new ride. The price was as agreed, no attempts to sell any add-on products, just a simple and straightforward process.
  2. BonusDrive $500 Cash Back Offer

Submitted on July 25 and I received that message on August 4 and then a message saying check was processing on October 23, then shipping email with tracking number on October 25. Supposed to see it tomorrow—3 months total for me, not bad for something I wasn’t expecting.
  3. Tell me about the tops & leaking

Hard top here—no leaks. I was worried about the car wash, took it through and also no leaks. Overall extremely happy. Also to add—I have had the freedom panels and full top off/on multiple times with no issues.
  4. Best deals found on a new JL?

Tough to say without knowing how much tax+tags+doc fees are. Can you always do better? Sure. But if you are comfortable with the price then it was a good deal for you.
  5. Best deals found on a new JL?

Worked with Spencer at Farrish—They didn’t have additional fees when I purchased my JLUR in July, it was actually a straight forward process—5.5% under invoice, plus another 1% for affiliate program (tread lightly, or I had one through my employer) + 699 doc fee + tax/tags. There were no...
  6. If I get the OTD price I want...

I don’t think it would matter—if you said “I want that there wrangler for 40k out the door” (and it was clear that OTD price included everything), then when you walk in to sign papers or drop a check, the amount should be 40k. Now, I would make sure they understood that you are talking about...
  7. AH! I can’t friggin decide!

I think it goes back to the old saying, better to have it and not need it. A sport will do just fine for what you are describing, but the light trails/etc are just the start, who knows where the offload adventures lead after that. It's a big investment and my view was that if I am going to be...
  8. AH! I can’t friggin decide!

Like many others (and you), I was in the same boat...almost went with a loaded Sport S, then a Sahara...but after pricing the various modifications, it made more economical sense to just get the rubicon. To summarize...if the rubicon is in your budget, go for it. At a minimum, I would...
  9. Members old and new -- check in and wave hello!

located in Delaware, this is my second jeep - first was a 94 YJ...definitely a few improvements since then.
  10. Stripped bolt on Mopar Hinge Reinforcement Kit - Ugh!

Had lots of fun dealing with torx bolts...try loosening the other three and then installing the one giving you the issues, then torque the others.
  11. Various Issues So Soon

Don't know and can't relate as the sale on my car fell through (dealer locate, but other dealer sold it...so on with the hunt). But the one thing I have seen repeated in the forums are the loose relays, may be something to check - as in make sure all relays are pushed down tight in the box...
