  1. Fox reservoir shocks

They do have dampening adjuster knobs on some reservoirs. The main advantage is holding more oil and having more surface area to displace heat which both keep the shock cool. It also allows for slightly longer travel in the same shock body length.
  2. JKS 2.5" JSpec Suspension kit - Any real world reviews/experience out there? Now w/first impressions

The second photo is a little deceiving, as it actually has about a 1" nose down rake.
  3. JKS 2.5" JSpec Suspension kit - Any real world reviews/experience out there? Now w/first impressions

The springs have a decent ride. I need to take a measurement, as I'm not sure if they have sagged, but the secondary rate is pretty much dead. I have no bumpers, winch, racks etc yet, so I would definitely go with HD if you are adding any weight. I wasn't happy with the JSPEC shocks. WAY too...
  4. Recent 4" Lift with fox upgrades on JL - rough and bouncy

Looks like he got JK rear shocks on all four corners. Also, It appears they charged you ($439) for the Fox ATS Adjustable stabilizer but you just got the IFP stabilizer ($150). Nevertheless, most of your ride quality issues are likely coming from 38x15.5 tires on 20X12 wheels. That is very heavy...
  5. Recent 4" Lift with fox upgrades on JL - rough and bouncy

My first question is always: Did you do the wheels and tires at the same time as the lift? If the tires are E-rated or even D-rated, you might just be feeling those instead of the lift itself. Also, make sure your PSI isn't too high. If your shock part numbers are correct, those are JK 4"-6"...
  6. Advice on lift kit

Over 2.5", I would highly recommend: Some sort of front caster correction - Lower control arms or control arm correction brackets. Adjustable front track bar.
  7. Post pics of your Rubicon on 35s no lift

That is a totally different animal. Chevy's have those tiny little rectangular fender wells.
  8. Post pics of your Rubicon on 35s no lift

I'm sure it would have rubbed Off-road/articulated, but never rubbed for daily driving
  9. Post pics of your Rubicon on 35s no lift

37's with no lift. Got impatient a few months back waiting for all the lift parts.
  10. So How's The Real World Highway MPG?

Running 37X12.50R17 KO2, I've been blown away. 17.4mpg in daily life (85% hwy) at 65-70mph with little traffic due to a reverse commute. Speedo adjusted and hand calculated for 10+ tanks. On a recent 400 mile road trip doing ~85mph (flat TX roads) saw about 15.5mpg. I'm pretty stoked with the...
  11. Biggest adjustment when going to a Wrangler?

It is awesome being able to pull into a parking spot head-on! The biggest adjustment for me has been ride quality on Houston streets. I've driven front straight axle vehicles here before, but the head roll in this takes some getting used to. Also, the due-west drive with a 15-20mph North wind...
  12. JLWF / Iron Cross Automotive Giveaway: Stubby Front Bumper with Bar/LED Cutout

This is a sweet little bumper at a killer price point. On trucks, we've always cut out the iron cross logo and installed flush-mounts in the rear. I wonder if there is enough available depth on the sides of this bumper between the frame horns to do the same?
  13. 17's or 20's

What would look better to you is totally subjective. I can say that given the current trend, most people will say that 20's "look better." For performance and comfort, 17's will be better. More sidewall (cushion on-road, moldable offroad) Lighter wheels and tires (lower un-sprung weight=less...
  14. Lift Options JKS J-Spec vs Custom Build

If you're going to assemble your own kit, I would definitely recommend supplementing the parts posted with bump stop extensions (F&R), Track bar bracket or track bar rear, track bar front, rear sway bar links. Also, some sort of caster correction for the front. I don't care for cam washers...
  15. Icon Vehicle Dynamics

It is really hard to find info, reviews or feedback on Icon for Jeeps. They just haven't really caught much traction in the Jeep world. I've currently got a JKS 2.5 on my JLUR but thinking about swapping to an Icon setup for a few months to test it out. Their shocks and springs are phenomenal on...
  16. 50" light bar

Hammerhead 50" ZRoadz makes for just 52" Light Bar and also with multiple a-pillar pod lighting or side shooters
  17. Rock Sliders and Side Step

    Eyeballing these: https://www.rockslideengineering.com/shop/step-sliders/jl-4d-step-sliders.html
  18. Lift for heavy loads?

JKS has theirs out with an option for SD or HD springs http://jksmfg.com/i-24048406-j-rated-2-5-suspension-system-2018-jeep-wrangler-jl-4-door.html?ref=category:1205552 They don't have the Fox Shocks ready yet (only JSPEC), but you should be able to get it without shocks, if you want to...
  19. What the heck is this thing sticking out the side of my rear UCAs???

That is the same as the control arms for the Ram Rebel and 1500 Air-Ride. The leveling arms for the air suspension attach to them. Does this mean there is an air suspension Wrangler coming?
