  1. OCEAN BLUE Wrangler JL Club

What a fun trip. Pick up in Idaho and drive back home to Anchorage? NICE.
  2. In praise (or not) of ESS? **NO POLITICS**

Good god, reading the first few pages of this topic made me feel like I stepped into a Flat Earth Society forum.
  3. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

    That blue looks fantastic.
  4. 2019 Order Help - Wait for 3.6l BSG? Worth it?

Do you ever actually add anything to the conversation or do you just jump in randomly to add snide remarks?
  5. 2019 Order Help - Wait for 3.6l BSG? Worth it?

Ah, you look to be correct. I read that again and it does sound more like a hybrid plug in. The way they say "All Electric" or use the term "Full Plug in Electric Jeep", it sure sounds like an EV and not a hybrid.
  6. Manual vs Automatic for first Wrangler

The last two are the ones that tip the scale. As much fun as a manual can be you will want the auto.
  7. 2019 Order Help - Wait for 3.6l BSG? Worth it?

Yeah the hybrid makes more sense but I'm talking about the full electric version that keeps being mentioned. I don't think we'll see it in 2020 but it sounds like they are indeed working towards one. “In addition to the all-new mild hybrid Wrangler, a full plug in electric Jeep Wrangler will be...
  8. 2019 Order Help - Wait for 3.6l BSG? Worth it?

I totally agree that the biggest thing I don't like about the BSG is that it's more complexity in a vehicle where you really don't want to have issues while out in the wilderness. I get these type of things on sedans and standard commuter type vehicles but please not on the rigs we all use to 4...
  9. 2019 Order Help - Wait for 3.6l BSG? Worth it?

Yes, it's more expensive to buy the aftermarket hard top as a whole or even individually than getting it at time of purchase but my point is when a part needs replacing, say the right panel, it won't cost as much as the whole option paid at purchase. If the BSG system, which is much more than...
  10. 2019 Order Help - Wait for 3.6l BSG? Worth it?

I get your point but if you're buying a $5,000 engine package and need to replace the crankshaft it won't cost the same price as the whole engine. Same thing goes for a replacement panel on the hart top, it's not going to cost more than the whole hard top when purchased with the vehicle.
  11. 2019 Order Help - Wait for 3.6l BSG? Worth it?

I can't remember where I saw it but the projected price was around $1000 for the JL 3.6 and just under $1500 for the Ram trucks.
  12. 2019 Order Help - Wait for 3.6l BSG? Worth it?

Thanks for posting that. Maybe it's just me but doesn't it strike you as odd that the FCA only charges $1000 for the BSG on a Wrangler ($1500 on a Ram truck) but replacement for the battery is as much or more than the whole BSG system new? That just doesn't make sense to me. I'm not...
  13. 2019 Order Help - Wait for 3.6l BSG? Worth it?

I'm not sure where you got $1500 for a battery replacement when the whole system itself is less than that. I'm guessing a replacement battery for this woudn't run more than about $200 at the most.
  14. 2019 Order Help - Wait for 3.6l BSG? Worth it?

Well JLEngineline who... works on the JL engine line, said this about what is currently happening and soon to be happening for engine options on the JL. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/engines-current-and-future.16667/#post-416983 He sure thinks the 3.6 BSG will be hitting soon...
  15. BRIGHT WHITE Wrangler JL Club

Personally I would push for a new replacement top (if that's the only place this issue is located at) just to see if they'll go that far for you. Worst case you tell them you want the whole top repainted by a quality shop. That shop should warranty the paint job as long as you own the Jeep so...
  16. stock Rubicon skid plates

That image is actually shown on Jeep's page for the JL so it should be legit.
  17. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

I think the selling point is that it's about a 1/4th smaller than an extinguisher, doesn't make a mess, never needs to be serviced and has no shelf life. It's not something you use on a blaze but it works for most situations. For $120 it's an easy one for me to pick. https://elementfire.com/
  18. Is this something to worry about?

Please tell me you're getting a new JL after all of this. I'm sure you've posted your story on this somewhere but I see this massive issue you have and I pray that you are being made whole by getting a brand new Jeep. Anything less just wouldn't be right in my book.
  19. 35" and 37" JL pics with lift kit

Correct. You installing it in your garage won't matter. All of this is no different than anything you change on your Jeep or any other vehicle. You can change/modify anything on your vehicle without voiding the warranty as long as the thing you changed/modified didn't cause the issue you're...
