I still use ESS occasionally, it functions but the only difference I see is that it usually says "battery charging" for the first few minutes if driving if you look at the ESS screen.

That's the only thing I don't like about my manual JL, the new 6 speed is terrific, but the clutch feels like they used a master cylinder from a Ram 3500 ! Feels strange going from the clutch feel of my Challenger or my wife's Genesis to the JL.

I've always used the Fortin remote start modules and will probably install one on my JL at some point. The JL manuals should be a safer install because of the ESS system, the Aisin transmission definitely has a neutral safety switch built in for the ESS, which the remote start could be tied into.

I looked at the Infinity reference speakers for my dash at Crutchfield while they were doing my window tint, was curious how they would sound, may go back tomorrow and pick them up. Thanks for the info !
