  1. Fuming over warranty / FCA issue. Advice please.

I had this fix done under warranty last year. The biggest hassle was that because the service department at my local dealership doesn't have body shop and had to outsource the work, I was constantly waiting for one party to hear back from the other. The only time anything seemed to get done was...
  2. 6th Gear?

Ha! It definitely feels that way! I use 6th gear all the time in my JLUR on the freeway and I love the MT. Cheers!
  3. JL 3.6 Manual Transmission Clutch.... Please ELI5

I have a 2018 JLUR 6 speed MT with just over 41,000km (26,000 miles) and have had zero problems with the clutch. I did have the clutch recall done (not sure, but I think it was software) and have felt no difference. If you like driving stick, then get this option. It feels great to drive and I...
  4. Off Roading for Dummies

I'm not sure if this was already covered but learning where my tires are has been a tremendous help when off-roading and placing tires on rocks, etc. While you're parked, sit in the driver's seat and have a friend stand out in front of your Jeep to indicate where the centre of each front tire is...
  5. Sky Touch roof......

Thank you! I'd still love to see pics, if you get the chance. Cheers!

  9. Picking up JL Rubicon tomorrow- What can I expect?

Did you replace this: with this?: LOL They're both interchangeable as the result of a new Jeep (or each other)!
  10. Driving on beach sand.

Go with another vehicle and make sure between the two of you that you have a set Maxtrax, a shovel, a tow strap, and that you are aired down to 12-15psi. There are plenty of great beach driving vids on YouTube. These are great: Have fun!!
  11. Jurassic World 3 Dominion- Jeeps are Back!

Very nice. What is the 29 for?
  12. Jeep snobbery - RANT

It’s a totally different housing market in Vancouver, Canada: $1M USD is about $1.35 CDN which will get you detached house that is either a complete tear down or $100-200K in renovations.
  13. Off roading / Overlanding movie

    This is pretty rad:
  14. Spied! V8 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Hemi Production Version Begins Testing!

Those tiny looking tires are the same as mine; stock 33's. It would be sweet if this came lifted with 35s or 37s from the factory.
  15. Is this a good price?

It seems like these things are more expensive in the US than they are here in Canada, which makes no sense to me at all. In May 2018, I ordered a JLUR 6 speed MT, with the power soft top (a $4K option in both countries) and almost every option except wheels and the cigarette lighter. The...
  16. Proximity key mandatory option on Rubicons?

To clarify: "Keyless Enter-N-Go — Passive Entry (If Equipped) The Passive Entry system is a feature that allows you to lock and unlock the vehicle’s door(s) and swing gate without having to push the key fob lock or unlock buttons." However, walking up to a locked Jeep and just pulling on the...
  17. Proximity key mandatory option on Rubicons?

I never locked my old XJ. It usually had a Doberman in it or was in a secure garage with nothing worth stealing inside. Now that I have a much nicer JLUR and keep some tools in it for off-roading, and the dog is a lot older, I try to keep it locked but often forget (old habits). The Sirius app...
  18. Jeeps and Dobermans

LOL Why do they lie their heads on the hardest pillows?!
  19. Proximity key mandatory option on Rubicons?

Mandatory options seems kinda shady. This might have been mentioned already; but have you tried another dealership or a build online? The proximity keyless entry is super convenient; you just get in and go. The only drawback is that it only works on the two front doors and the tailgate (which...
  20. Jeeps and Dobermans

    Awesome name!!
