  1. Factory Aux connections driving me nuts

If you have a ton of accessories, there may be a possibility of using the inside and outside to turn both items on at once. I could use a couple more AUX buttons myself. I already use one for the air compressor and another for my CB. I haven't even started to do LED lights yet. Each to his...
  2. Tapping high beam for relay trigger.

If you use the high beam power to trigger the relay, it would be ok. The coil side of the relay barely draws any amperage for the canbus to see any errors. If you hook up the lights to be powered with to the high beams without a relay, you may run into too much current draw and blow the fuse.
  3. Factory Aux connections driving me nuts

If you install the AUX switch kit yourself, you can get the dealer to flash them for you to make them active or buy the Tazer and program it that way. The Tazer would have to stay with the Jeep when you sell it or the switches won't work once you remove the Tazer.
  4. Factory Aux connections driving me nuts

I don't think the owners manual recommends that you use both inside and outside connections on a single AUX button. I'm sure their reason is that you can possibly overload the amperage rating for each AUX switch. If you don't exceed the fused rating, I don't see why you couldn't hook up the...
  5. Upgrading Non-Alpine Audio

Here's a pic of the rear area. 10" powered Fusion sub and on board air system. The onboard air is a Viair 400 compressor with a Viair 1 gallon tank. I have a manifold, relay and pressure switch so it will pressurize the tank to 105 psi before it shuts off automatically. It will fire back up...
  6. JLWF / Tazer Z-Automotive Giveaway: Tazer Programmer For Jeep Wrangler JL

Count me in! I wonder if I can wait until the drawing and win or be impatient and order one. :headbang:
  7. Upgrading Non-Alpine Audio

Sorry for a very late reply. Work has been ridiculous. I pulled the signal for the powered bass tube from the rear speaker locations. The powered Fusion sub I have does have a remote for the volume. Since then, I have installed an old Alpine deck in the glove box and used the front dash...
  8. Upgrading Non-Alpine Audio

Yesterday, I installed my powered 10" Fusion sub that was from my Cherokee and also swapped out the top dash speakers to some JL Audio 3.5" 2 ways. Talk about a huge improvement. I was surprised that the dash speakers did not distort except at very high volumes. At the moment, those are still...
  9. Adding an Aftermarket Amp(s)

Thanks for the stereo info. I have just got my Rubi last week and did not get the Alpine system. I installed car audio for many years and felt I can do a better job and cheaper than what the factory offered. I don't think I will go crazy and do a full blown install. What I am thinking of is...
  10. FIRECRACKER RED Wrangler JL Club

Hello everyone. I have been lurking around this forum for a while to see what I would like and I picked up a red Rubi last weekend. It was a tough choice but the red really caught my eye. Hopefully it won't catch the attention of the local police as I speed around.
  11. Upgrading Non-Alpine Audio

Hello fellow Jeeper. I used to install car audio for over 12 years and still love a great sound system. I just recently bought a Rubicon WITHOUT the Alpine system. I did demo a Rubicon with the Alpine system and did not like it. On some songs, it sounded very good but not great. The bass...
