  1. Uconnect—rename it to Unconnect

Ugh, sorry to hear. I seemed to recall that when it was cold, that’s when I experienced more glitches, but I was scared straight out of my memory when the steering seized—which happened when cold, and raining (I recall 38 degrees?).
  2. Uconnect—rename it to Unconnect

How did you go about starting the trade in discussion? I thought of doing the same, since they won’t buy it back. Again, twice today my Screwconnect locked out. Turned the engine off at a red light, opened the door, presto—started working again. Ridiculously frustrating. Have video, of...
  3. Uconnect—rename it to Unconnect

Agreed—I had a 2016 Mustang GT Perf Pack and the Sync was awful—graphics were poor, but it too would black out. Uconnect, or Uscrewed, is a much better interface. But useless when not working. The car before my Jeep was a 2017 Camaro SS 1LE. Absolutely perfect interface—never ever an issue...
  4. JlUR Clutch Creaking

Agree with liking the new model. Far too many issues though. I have also had to turn the jeep off, open and close the door to get the infotainment to work. Very Italian, thanks Fiat. I unfortunately feel I have a lemon. Don’t go looking at the bottom side of your brake fluid reservoir...
  5. JlUR Clutch Creaking

What a nightmare! Makes my Uconnect problems seem minor. Except my clutch creaks too, so here we go, off to the dealer again.
  6. Uconnect—rename it to Unconnect

Thanks BullMoose—I will post when it does!
  7. Uconnect—rename it to Unconnect

I really wish it was that simple, but it’s just not. Again, Jeep has acknowledged Uconnect’s shortcomings—it’s no secret it was rushed. I just hope it’s cleared up in 2 years and 2 months, when my warranty expires!
  8. Uconnect—rename it to Unconnect

That, and Jeep has acknowledged to me that Uconnect had these issues, and many other are experiencing the same—in case you didn’t know, Jeep’s division of Uconnect has been feverishly working on a major fix for for its software. Consider yourself lucky that you haven’t had troubles.
  9. Uconnect—rename it to Unconnect

It’s hit or miss, that’s from the dealership. Folks coming in with Uconnect troubles on a variety of FCA products. My cousin has a new TrackHawk—no issues.
  10. Uconnect—rename it to Unconnect

I would, unless you are the type that can overlook these sorts of inconsistencies. Jeep service folks have been great, as I have told them on several occasions. It’s the vehicle. A vehicle which I still enjoy, despite the aggravations. BTW, the seized steering took me to a place I’d...
  11. Uconnect—rename it to Unconnect

And checked Uconnect website with VIN to see if I am up to date, snd yes, I am. Serious software issues, I’m afraid.
  12. Uconnect—rename it to Unconnect

Nearly 6 pages with Jeep Cares folks of my Jeep issues. Most of dealing with the Uconnect—volume not working, backup camera guidelines disappearing, infotainment controls being inoperable one day, fine the next, screen blacking out—if I didn’t pay so much for this Jeep, I’d be laughing, and...
  13. Front brake chirp

Front drivers side started making a weird chirp noise, not squeal, not howl, not a grind but a quick chirp upon pressing the brake pedal. Took to dealer—caliper piston was leaking a small amount of fluid. With 8400 miles on the odometer. I heard GCs were doing this too—I have a rubicon which...
  14. Stiff steering above 60mph in cold weather---TSB did not fix

software fix per the TSB. let’s see if it works, though now the jeep is idiling rough.
  15. Intermittent Loss of Power Steering

Thank you for the link. This is what the dealer told me they’d be doing. Hope it fixes it.
  16. Stiff steering above 60mph in cold weather---TSB did not fix

Had the same thing happen recently—scared me pretty good. Cold outside, raining, freeway. The steering just stiffened up as I made a signaled lane change for no reason. Like lane keep assist gone wild. Then it went away. Then it came back. Then finally away for the rest of the trip. I...

    Continuing: https://www.quadratec.com/p/mopar/grill-assembly-jeep-wrangler-jl Keep it matte?
  18. Bright White grille turning yellow

Taxman—it’s yellowing. I had not noticed until I read Alex’s first post. Then went and looked carefully. Starts at the top edge. Sucks. I have 1100 miles on my 6spd JLU Rubi and not even a month. Jeep Care, can you please contact me? I have tried to email Jeep and the website refuses to...
