I'm in a similar boat. We have a 6 and 5 year old, they are on the taller side so they using boosters instead of the 5 point harnesses (we just made the switch) I convinced the wife to let me go top down with the old five point harnesses for the kids. Next step is working on the wife no doors ;)
I was about 10 days in D1 to built. But that was also during the plant shutdown. Tracking what people are saying that ordered in JAN, the plant is moving quick!
I think you should get it by the end of Feb. That gives then basically 3 weeks to ship it. Woth a couple of days to prep at the dealer.
So my experience was as the estimated ship date was really my build date. (Ordered 1/10, est ship 1/24, actual build 1/24). I just entered KZR status today...
Ordered 1/10.
Vin on 1/12
Delivered said "ship date" was 1/24
Was trim trim this morning. 1/25
Guess the delivery estimate date is really the build date.
Dealer said mid next week 1/30 or 1/31 for delivery. Hopping being 50 miles from the factory helps!
It's going to be -40 windchill next...
Could be. Normally I would say dont trust the salesman but I purchased though a salesman with lots of recommendations in the forum. I'll post how far he is off. My theory is "my build" was really a dealer allotment already scheduled to be built but then reassigned to me.
Ordered JLUR 1/10
Got VIN 1/11
Talked to dealer today.
ETA to dealership 1/24.
We shall see if I get by 26 Jan. But I'm also 60 minutes from the plant.
After I get the financing squared away. (Didnt think I would have to get loan paperwork going for another month) I'm going off on buying...
I have a 2002 TJ I bought new. 230K miles later, I've rebuilt the transmission (manual transmission) @ 190k, T Case @ 225k , and brake lines @ 210k. beyond that, its regular maintenance. I'm selling it because I order a new 2019 JLUR, but if it doesn't sell for the price I want I'm keeping it ;)...
I order almost the exact Jeep on 10 Jan. Expect for the dual top and what I like to call the "kid options" aka, safety, ACC, and leather. Of course the plan is my 5&6 yr old will be driving this jeep in high school.
How do you like it so far? Any accessories you wish you purchased right off...
Hey everyone, looking for some advice. A little background, I've been looking to get a new jeep that will eventually replace my 02 TJ. I found the TJ limited slip is more than enough for my off road needs. I also now have a 5 & 4 year old that LOVE jeeps and helping me work on things. They...
