Just picked it up last night and so far so good. Jeep contacted me this week and offered me the lifetime max extended warranty with 200 deductible. I'm glad they are standing behind their product.

Fair point. Jeep customer care should have offered up an extended warranty at their expense

Jeep produced an engine that had a significant issue with less than 1000 miles on it. There is a high likelyhood that future issues will arise from this. So no I don't feel that simply repairing the rocker arm is sufficiently standing behind their product.

Jeep customer care washed their hands of it and pointed me back to the warranty. Said if i wanted anything further I'd have to talk to the sales department at the dealer. So much for standing by a product that was flawed at the time of delivery. Hopefully the dealer will make it right.

Service Manager said this was the 2nd one he had to replace rocker arms within 1000 miles of new. I'm petitioning Jeep for an exchange since its 1 week old and less than 1000 miles.

Telling me rocker arms are being replaced. Takes 3-5 days to get in the parts.

Engine sounded normal. Slight loss of power in acceleration when the light came on but then went back to normal

@JeepCares PM sent Dealer is speculating that variable valve timing maybe culprit. Seems as if they’re guessing. Really concerned about deep engine issues with less than 1000 miles.

Took delivery last week of a JL Sport S. Took it on a long trip to North Carolina and the CEL came on. I had it checked out by a dealer in NC and was told it was a Cylinder 1 misfire stored code. The service department there told me it was okay to drive it back home to TN and check it out...
