I just went over my early 2018 Sahara JLU in Granite Crystal. So far, no issues . I guess one of the few lucky ones. Something I'll have to watch closely.
Takes about 3-4 minutes to take out so you can lay the back seats down and use the full length of the Jeep. It takes 4-6 hours to install initially, but most the that is the custom fitting around the sides near the roll bars. FORUMS10 gets you 10% off right now.
I just installed a Diabolical Slipstream security enclosure to my 2018 JLUS. I just put anything of value in the back. Best security enclosure I've ever seen. Great security with top on or off. https://shop.diabolicalinc.com/products/slipstream-jeep-security-enclosure-jlu
I have a 2018 JLUS with 40,000 miles. It gets full synthetic when the Jeep tells me to change it. Usually 7-7500K miles. Sounds about right with a quality filter and quality full synthetic oil. Ran a 2000 Ford 4.0 V6 in a Sportrac to 301,000 miles with oil changes at a 7500k miles interval. Sold...
I was going to buy a 2020 JT until I priced a fully loaded Ram 1500 4X4 Laramie. Bought a 2019 with 12 inch screen pano roof, leather. Bought it used with 11,000 miles. It had Michelin tires (brand new) hard, rolling toneau cover, sprayed bed and a custom cushioned bed liner for $20,000 less...
2018 JL Sahara. Daily drive at least 20,000 per year. Great ride, fun, very capable. The only thing is wind noise. I'm used to it now. Just turn the music up a little. You'll love it.
