  1. Uconnect "Favorites" function just STOPPED working. Help!

If anybody from SiriusXM is reading this thread I have cancelled my service. while Sirius likely has nothing to do with this function this feature actually made the service way more user friendly and competitors like Spotify or ITunes with local/download content are cheaper and easy to use.
  2. Snow Stories .... How has your JL beasted through some of the white stuff??

Every now and again. I don’t live where it snows anymore but I visit mountains for skiing.
  3. Uconnect "Favorites" function just STOPPED working. Help!

So just did a long road trip. 15 hours. Mine will work for about 15 to 40 minutes after key up. And will stop working until next key cycle. the annoying part is i still get the notifications for favorite artist on air, but you don't know what station.
  4. Auto Start Stop and Traction Control threw a code at the same time.

I don’t know FCAs strategy here but absolutely if ESC throws a code then start stop will fall to function. One of the key things for start stop is you have to know 100% that you are stopped before the engine can turn off. So say a wheel speed sensor is going bad. And you can’t see wheel ticks or...
  5. Anyone going to JJ Ouray??

See you in Ouray then. My coworker wanted to do EJS a couple years ago and I regret not taking him up on it.
  6. Anyone going to JJ Ouray??

We did Moab this year, JJ recommends a place and they usually pick a good one. So whatever they recommend is probably best. Also fun to see a ton of Jeeps in the lot.

  9. Wrangler in the winter?

For me if you can see pavement then 4HA. If you can’t and the road is covered in snow then 4H it is. That being said it’s possible the road is iced over and you will want 4H. don’t forget a good set of winter tires is also very valuable.
  10. I can’t freakin decide! HELP!

There are tools on this site to help you calculate the invoice pricing. I don't know it off the top of my head but 9k off of 54k sounds about right from what i recall. So to be honest that might be rock bottom pricing all ready. The only way to get more is if the dealer at the end of the...
  11. I can’t freakin decide! HELP!

Ha my family too. My uncle was GM Powertrain for many many years. My dad because he got the GM Employee Discount through his brother always bought GM vehicles end of story. I told him a few years ago, you just go to the dealer and say, "I'm not paying a penny above employee pricing" or 5%...

me too. Helps that i moved from a 10 minute 7 mile commute to a 30 minute 10 miles commute. and in the afternoon it's 45 minutes for 7 miles. When you live in the city and never get over 40 mph why do you want to own a manual to drive in bumper to bumper traffic? My big reason is the...

  14. Wrangler in the winter?

So BrakeLockDiffeerential, it’s job is if a wheel is slipping is to lock that wheel to transfer torque to the other wheel that has traction If you are not in 4WD then it’s not possible to have torque to transfer to the other wheel. BLD will be active in all 4WD modes. there are of course...
  15. 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 V8 - Specs, Wallpapers, Videos!

Honestly probably doesn’t need it. Similar to the diesel just should have enough torque to deal with it. That being said I’ll probably go with the lifetime warranty.
  16. 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 V8 - Specs, Wallpapers, Videos!

Holy crap just showed my wife she rolled her eyes but we’re a go. Honestly really wanted a diesel with selec-trac but eh who cares. This is good too.
  17. 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 V8 - Specs, Wallpapers, Videos!

So this hits all my boxes. Selec-trac T Case, lockers, slightly higher lift than normal. 33’s. My wife says I can have it if they sell it in punk’n :(
  18. Off road range?

Drive white rim road In Canyonlands. Filled up in town. Drive the trail and back to town. 130 miles on 1/2 tank. Didn’t bring reserve fuel. 3.6 JLUS.
  19. Wrangler in the winter?

So brake lock differential doesn’t technically kill power to manage slip. BLD’s job is to transfer Torque from the wheel in slip to the wheel with traction. So brake torque is applied via the ABS/ESC module to the wheel in slip. So this feature works most obviously when you are on split mu...
  20. Hard Wiring Dashcam

I ran cables by removing the passenger grab handle. Another user simply pushed the wires through the trim without removal. You can see our discussion here: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/advice-on-removing-passenger-a-pillar-grab-handle.22975/
