  1. Off Road Pages has arrived via OTA software update!

Thanks for sharing. It is very annoying. I had about 3 ignition cycles then other day worked every time. Next drive it was back.
  2. Off Road Pages has arrived via OTA software update!

I got the update around that date in august, although I am near Detroit sort of, I am in Ontario Canada. Really hope they realize there is a minor bug with it, I hate having to check then turn off the jeep and back on again so I can use the system.
  3. Loose steering feels like it has play and drifts

I also noticed play a few months ago but being my first jeep I thought this was normal for the type of vehicle. But I can move the wheel back and forth while driving about 1/2-1” before the wheels do anything. So the theory is that if there is play then the vehicle has room to sway even if you...
  4. FIRECRACKER RED Wrangler JL Club

Yeah I am not into the colour wraps, plus they don't really protect against chips or scratches nor do they self heal. I was 4000$ in on this which is still a good deal if you source out the cut outs to do it yourself. This jeep is mine until it dies so I wanted it to look good for as long as...
  5. FIRECRACKER RED Wrangler JL Club

I know jeeps should be dirty, but this colour looks so good in the sun all cleaned up! I had the jeep completely wrapped in PPF Xpel so now the dirt just glides right off. I topped it off with CG instawax and wrap detailer. Now to throw mud at it =]
  6. Off Road Pages has arrived via OTA software update!

If it is buggy like mine not sure you want them just yet. Everyday I have to see if my touch screen works. If not then I have to turn off the engine and turn back on. It fixes it but annoying for sure. Anyone have this issue? Seems odd that it would be hardware related and just mine. Software...
  7. Off Road Pages has arrived via OTA software update!

I am in ontario canada and have the pages for 2 weeks now. So they might go away soon? Did the same thing to me today, I’ll have to figure out how to upload a video to show.
  8. Off Road Pages has arrived via OTA software update!

I got an update around the 12th I think on my screen, told it to update over night and I have the off road pages. I haven’t followed this thread but is this a real release? My uconnect has randomly lost touch to the apps row..meaning the screen still works at the last screen used, but i can’t...
  9. ACE Slider Install - Hints from fellow JL/JLU Owner's

'This looks normal. The middle and rear nuts have some play and aren't fixed to the body mount. I pulled down on the washer with a hand rachet. You have to try and get the nut to catch by pulling down and loosening at the same time. At this point doesn't look like a big issue, hopefully it will...
  10. ACE Slider Install - Hints from fellow JL/JLU Owner's

The rails are great! I like the look with the stock rails. For now I am not big to off road, but who knows in the future I hope to try more. These were more for a step for me. Definitely do as Ace mentioned...break the bolt loose. Watch for 'cracks' as you turn the bolt. I would use a medium...
  11. ACE Slider Install - Hints from fellow JL/JLU Owner's

This install scared the crap out of me. I am in so deep in my jeep financially from other trades to get to the jeep, doing these mods I thought I had it in me but this took me out ha. Next major parts in the future I am paying to have it done. My front drivers broken bolt is out! Finally. It...
  12. The Dummies Guide to JL Ordering Status

Thanks for letting me know..although I have delivered since then. I can say that I was built, inspected, shipped and delivered in 2 weeks. So D1 for me did infact mean all parts ready and it was in line for build. Build took 1-2 days.
  13. Caution: Broken Body Mount Bolt When Installing Frame Mount Rock Sliders / Rails / Sidesteps

I was able to get an extractor in my bolt, but it won't move!! This thing is stuck in there. Looks like I have an unlucky bolt that just didn't want to come out. My local dealer was able to order me in 2 of the replacement bolts. They came with notched threads on the end and red thread lock...
  14. Caution: Broken Body Mount Bolt When Installing Frame Mount Rock Sliders / Rails / Sidesteps

Today I got an extractor in my bolt. Won't even move. Certainly there is something wrong with this mount. Next step might be to have a look up top by having to cut the floor, and try to get at it that way. Such a mess. I am convinced there is an issue with this mount bolt, but I have made too...
  15. ACE Slider Install - Hints from fellow JL/JLU Owner's

Yes the front bolts under the doors are smaller slightly. Different bolts. Mine cracked a few times, meaning it gave way 1/4” with not thread moving for some reason. Thought maybe this was the bolt spinning in the mount thread. If it does this a couple times I would be scared. Go slow. Try an...
  16. Caution: Broken Body Mount Bolt When Installing Frame Mount Rock Sliders / Rails / Sidesteps

Thanks for the info Mark! A parts person is looking for the bolt now, but the issue is that the drawings don’t show him where it goes. Was yours the smaller washer bolt under the drivers door? If so would really appreciate if you have the part number. Perhaps on an invoice?
  17. Caution: Broken Body Mount Bolt When Installing Frame Mount Rock Sliders / Rails / Sidesteps

Thanks as well for your input Don. Could you tell me what the shop did to fix your bolt/which bolt it was?
  18. Caution: Broken Body Mount Bolt When Installing Frame Mount Rock Sliders / Rails / Sidesteps

Thanks Mark, I know as soon as I saw that damn bolt fall I was so pissed. My local dealer told me to go to a collision type shop where he said the same. He would most likely cut the floor and have a look there. I am currently drilling through the bolt and undecided if I will use a larger...
  19. Caution: Broken Body Mount Bolt When Installing Frame Mount Rock Sliders / Rails / Sidesteps

In the same boat guys :( I heard a crack, the socket gave a few turns. It did this on the passenger side. A couple more turns and it broke. I screamed, punched the cabinet then faced reality. It’s the driver side front. Currently trying to drill it out, we’ll see what happens. Wondering the...
  20. ACE Slider Install - Hints from fellow JL/JLU Owner's

Thanks I will check into that. Love the rails, no risk of tearing dress pants now while working!
