Do you have link to these that you are talking about?
I am trying to figure out best way to mount my flag. Retailers have JL specific ones that mount to the tailgate but for $80 seems crazy. I have the flag already but with stock bumpers so really no where to mount it.
Looking for suggestions.
I have the same wheel and tire setup on mine. Fuel Vector wheels with Toyo Open Country R/T. Black with the bronze wheels gives a nice touch of color which looks sick IMO.
Anyone else have a whistle whine coming through after installing theirs? Mine almost sounds like a turbo spooling up. Any ideas of what could cause that?
Sorry for the delayed response.
Simple install. 3 bolts underneath to the frame about 6 bolts through pinch welds on the body. All holes already there so no drilling necessary. Took no more than 30 minutes to install.
Got it installed this weekend and it was a breeze to complete. Love the sound that engine makes and now may hold off on changing out the exhaust. To note, I was averaging 14.8 MPG prior to install. About 50/50 mix of city and highway driving and I have somewhat of a lead foot too. Two days of...
Thanks for sharing. I just got mine delivered today. Cannot wait to install and excited to hear how this sounds first hand. I also opted to get the throttle body spacer. Hoping I didnt waste $100 on that. We will soon see.
Glad to see you found the harness to connect them. I wasnt able when I first started so soldered mine. I did not use the high-pass filter caps. Glad to know you like the sound all set and done.
You should really look into adding one of the streamline subs. Once I added that I was finally happy...
Yeah, one day when I find myself bored I may tap into the driver side soundbar speaker and run the left channel separate and see if I get any better bass response. Pretty darn good as-is for those curious. Overall simple install to add much need bass to your stock system. Dont hesitate. Buy one...
Installed the Rockford Fosgate PS8 yesterday and I am impressed with how much bass you can get out of this thing. Fit just about perfect under the driver side seat.
The audiophile gods out there, let me know if there is any issue with how I ended up wiring this...
Power - simple push through...
I ended up getting the rough country side steps and think they look great. I was able to get in and out just fine but needed them for the wife and kids.
Which is best for slimline 8" powered subs?
Alpine?
Kicker?
Infinity?
JBL?
Cerwin Vega?
Rockford Fosgate?
Curious to know everyones opinion on this. I am leaning towards the kicker.
What a great idea! I have had this freaking rattle since putting these 35s on. Will try this tomorrow and hope to solve the problem and eliminate the worry on messing up the tailgate. Thanks for sharing!
You were 100% and the polarity was off. However, I am still not a fan of the 4" infinity speakers. I get more bass out of the stock speaker and now that I have the 3.5" infinity back there they are taking are of the highs. IF I were to have a separate sub I would keep the 4" infinity in and let...
Well shoot. Then it is reversed. I spliced in the front and rear 3.5" as i did not have a harness for those. I followed the diagram posted on another thread to make sure I had the polarity correct. Never even crossed my mind to check the harness to be sure that was correct. Ill flip the polarity...
