  1. Transmission stutter on slow down

I know exactly what you're talking about. My 2019 JLUR did that - best way to describe it would be the sensation you feel when you trip on something but catch yourself. The 2019 was bought back by FCA, my 2020 doesn't seem to do it that I've noticed. I had the v6 as well and also noticed the 4...
  2. Thrumming Noise at Highway Speeds (63-67ish)

I picked my new 2020 JLUR up yesterday. The vibration is there in the new Jeep but it is MUCH less than the 2019 I had prior. I don't think most people would recognize the vibration in the 2020 if you hadn't driven the 2019 and knew what to look for. It still worries me though that it's there at...
  3. Thrumming Noise at Highway Speeds (63-67ish)

Mine spent 47 days in the shop before I filed a Lemon Law case in Georgia. It got a new transfer case, suspension changes, wheel changes, etc. before I gave up on it. My new 2020 JLUR just got delivered at the dealer, waiting on paperwork from Stericycle, and should have it Wednesday next week.
  4. Thrumming Noise at Highway Speeds (63-67ish)

I just did that journey myself. If your brother needs any tips, PM me. I'm also in GA so am familiar with the process and who to call at the State DA's office.
  5. Transparent purple over backup camera?

2019 JLUR w/ 10,000 miles. Never had an issue with the backup camera until tonight. Tried shutting car off and on, going back to P and D, no luck on anything. I've read a couple posts about the black screen issue, but this oddly purple screen was weird. You could see other car lights through...
  6. Thrumming Noise at Highway Speeds (63-67ish)

I never found a fix and was told to come get the car from the dealer because FCA wasn't authorizing any more repairs. I'm now fighting through the buyback process with FCA - it's a total joke. It's too bad there are no offroad competitors to the doors-off top-down feeling of the Jeep brand. I'd...
  7. Driver door window noise

I've got this same issue with the soft top JLUR. Which weather stripping did you apply it to? The one on the door or on the door frame? (I'm not near my Jeep so can't check...)
  8. people who've dealt w/ buy back step inside

Has anyone got a response from Mike Manley, or one of his people, lately? Any new contacts at Jeep? I didn't realize it until this morning, but Mike Manley is now CEO of FCA and no longer handling the Jeep brand specifically. I highly doubt he's getting involved with emails from people looking...
  9. Thrumming Noise at Highway Speeds (63-67ish)

Mine is a Rubicon. 2019 model JLUR, built in March 2019.
  10. Thrumming Noise at Highway Speeds (63-67ish)

    1) Yes, I've got the premium soft top 2) Auto trans 3) Yes, to 3.6L V6 4) Have not taken off my soft top. I don't remember it being different with top up or down. 5) Have not tried it. 6) N/A for me. I don't think it's related to the top. I feels like it's coming from the floor cabin, through...
  11. people who've dealt w/ buy back step inside

Crap... was hoping that'd be the magic bullet. Good luck with yours. I want to love the Jeep brand again... but it's becoming more difficult.
  12. people who've dealt w/ buy back step inside

I'm in the exact same boat. I've been getting updates weekly from my FCA rep since Nov 1, but all the updates amount to is "I haven't got a response back from FCA corporate yet. How is the vehicle driving now?". I'm not sure if they ask because they think it will magically fix itself or if...
  13. Thrumming Noise at Highway Speeds (63-67ish)

Just got an update from my dealer (Troncalli CDJR in Cumming GA). The Service Dept Manager is claiming that the side steps (ACE Engineering rock rails) are the cause of the vibration. The vibration was there long before the side steps were on the vehicle but they won't listen to me. They said...
  14. Thrumming Noise at Highway Speeds (63-67ish)

Yeah, soooo, definitely not fixed. It used to happen most strongly around 65 mph, they took it to 65 mph and no vibration. Called me and said hooray, it’s fixed. I went up there and drove it at 73 mph and vibration was there. Why 73 mph... a speedo programmed for 315/70/R17 running a Sahara tire...
  15. Thrumming Noise at Highway Speeds (63-67ish)

Dealer just called and said they think the issue is with the Rubicon stock wheels or the tires. They put some wheels from a new Sahara (straight off the truck from the factory) on my Rubicon and the vibration and thrumm noise is gone. That coincides with my result of the issue going away when I...
  16. Thrumming Noise at Highway Speeds (63-67ish)

I got an update from the dealer late yesterday. The transfer case was replaced and it reduced the vibration and thrumming noise, but did not solve the issue entirely. They're keeping the car for further troubleshooting.
  17. Thrumming Noise at Highway Speeds (63-67ish)

Quick update on mine. The transfer case replacement is on backorder, part number 68240441AC. It's not due to the dealer until the week of 10/28 (ughhh... they've had it since the 10th). FCA did offer to refund me a car payment though so not a total cluster. Regarding the wheels / tires...
  18. Thrumming Noise at Highway Speeds (63-67ish)

You may be right with the transfer case. My JLUR (2019, 7k miles) is at the dealer now for the same issue and they just called to let me know they're replacing the transfer case. Will report back whenever I get it back, maybe mid-next week.
  19. Rubicon 2 door Drive line vibration

5 week old 2019 JLUR 6cyl here and same issue. I thought maybe I was crazy, glad others are reporting similar issues. I haven't yet taken mine in yet - was going to wait for the first free oil change. @JefDuro let us know what you find out...
