  1. Mopar Flat Tow Harness arrived

I suggest checking to see if you have 12 volts to the tow light harness with the tow vehicle lights off. I was checking mine by plugging into a Ford F150 and found the truck needed to sense turn signals on a trailer (Jeep) before the 12 volt circuit was energized. However, the taillights...
  2. Mopar Flat Tow Harness arrived

The instructions for the installation of the RV Towing Harness show removing the inner fender liner. Instead I found it very easy to remove the fender and the inner liner as one unit. The rivets don't have to be removed. Just remove 4 bolts and one push pin, then just pull it off. (For a...
  3. Mopar Flat Tow Harness arrived

I installed my fuses with the three on the left and in the top slot on the right (that's where the wires were). The picture is confusing but fuses are meant to protect circuits so it doesn't make sense to put one in where aren't any wires.
  4. Mopar Flat Tow Harness arrived

Looking at the MOPAR harness (harness "G" at the connection to the RV all 7 pins are connected. If you follow the wires to the connection at the passenger side of the front bumper you will notice that the Yellow wire, in harness "G" does not connect to the in vehicle harness "A". Following...

  6. Mopar Flat Tow Harness arrived

For any of you that have already installed the Mopar Tow Harness - I have a question on the connection of the "A" wire harness to the connector shown in step 12. It shows removal of the white plastic lock that comes in the connector. Does this "lock" come all the way our and if so how is it...

With the weather getting warmer here in Delaware I plan on starting my harness install this week. First, I have to take my JL into the dealer to have the rear window replaced (broken defroster connection) I see one ground in the engine compartment in step 15. Is the second ground you mention...
  8. Mopar Flat Tow Harness arrived

I already have a 6-way standard socket installed on a Blue Ox baseplate for a Roadmaster Invisibrake located under the driver's seat. The Mopar harness will terminate on the right hand side at the front bumper, per the instructions, except I plan on installing it below the position shown in...
  9. JLUR DRL and Rear defrost Inop

Update to original post. Didn't get the rear window replaced when first expected. Dealer told me it was damaged in shipping. It has now been a couple of weeks and no contact from dealer. I called them today and am now told that the rear window is back ordered and expected date is now May...
  10. Mopar Flat Tow Harness arrived

I have a Roadmaster Invisibrake installed in my JL for braking. It includes battery charging while underway as long as the RV lights are on. I haven't installed the Mopar harness yet. Waiting for nicer weather. I plan to tie the wires from the RV to both the Mopar harness and the Invisibrake...

I just picked up my Mopar RV Tow Harness - Jeep Wrangler (Part # 82215382AB) from my local dealer. I plan on installing it when the weather gets warmer. I have a Blue Ox Tow bar installed and a Roadmaster Invisibrake already installed. Has anyone installed the RV Towing harness with the...
  12. JLUR DRL and Rear defrost Inop

I just took my JL into the dealership with the failed connection to the rear window defroster. The dealership called later and told me they don't repair the connection but will replace the window under warranty. They said the new window would be delivered to the dealership tomorrow. That's...
  13. Has Anyone Recived a 2 door yet?

I just picked mine up yesterday. Ordered back the middle of February. The dealer said it was the first two door he had seen.
