Can someone please describe to me the differences between billet silver and sting gray? I haven't found any photos that definitively distinguish the two.
I don't have a Best Buy logo on my Samsung flat screen. Why in the world would I want a Smith & Johnson Car Emporium plaque on the back of my ride?
I won't take delivery of a vehicle with a dealer decal on it.
Just curious what others think about this.
Suppose you've got some stickers on your old vehicle indicating places you've been--parks, trails, etc.
Then you purchase your new JL.
Do you duplicate your stickers onto your new ride? Or do you start over, with a blank slate?
Dude, when I said it was dumb, I was talking about the dealers &/or factory that configured the vehicles. That was the main point of my post.
$500 means nothing to me? On the contrary; every dollar means a lot to me. Jeepskate is my screen name here for a reason.
This is a poll only for those who made a conscious choice not to get the proximity entry on their JL--because a real Jeeper wouldn't get that feature--but do have keyless entry via their key fob. (This isn't for those who didn't get the option for other reasons, such as cost, etc.)...
If you don't mind, if/when I place an order, I'd like to run it by you first. I want it to be configured like a real jeeper would. I've already taken proximity entry off my list, but I'll want you to okay everything else too. Thanks!
I just did a search in your neck of the woods. I'm looking for a 6-speed manual rubicon.
There is exactly ONE in your area. MSRP: $51930. Proximity entry: NOPE.
Is it the dealers who have configured their early deliveries of JLs, or is the factory that decides what to build and what they'll send to the dealers?
It makes no sense to me, whatsoever, the number of $50k vehicles they've made that are missing relatively inexpensive options.
50k and it's...
It blows my mind that a vehicle costing around 50K, almost fully loaded, wouldn't have the proximity feature added. It's annoying, because I'd prefer to buy an existing vehicle rather than wait a couple months for a custom build. But I've got to have that feature.
I'd like to see if the Jeep I'd like is available--from anyone in the country. The web site limits me to searching within 150 mile radius of a given zip code. Is there another way to search inventory?
