The best load range is typically determined by vehicle weight. A stiffer, such as load range E, will not deform readily under the weight of a stock JL when off-road. Tread life is determined by the compound the manufacturer uses.

I don’t think the tires can be considered equal even if they are the same weight. Where the weight is located changes the dynamics of each tire. eh, I could be wrong. I’m not smart.
