Haha yeah it sounds like you have a lot on your plate!
I'll tell you, it didn't take THAT long.. and if you have a garage it should be a bit easier.. a nice place to store everything overnight if need be. I think the hardest part was taping the front bumper.. I tried my best, but if you look...
Didn't realize you were in the Austin area--I'll be keeping a lookout for that good looking JL!
I'm planning to do mine black this weekend. Just had the tint done this week, so I've got some pics to come.
So, my '07 JKU was my first jeep/vehicle and I beat the hell out of it. Never worried too much about it because "it's a jeep, that's what it's for.." When I washed it, I just took it to the gas station. I wiped down the interior with those Armor All wipes.
Well, now that I am an adult and...
I am very glad to learn that you are okay. Head injuries can be really tough to recover from.. but in time you will feel back to 100%!
That jeep did us all proud. Protected a forum friend from what probably would have been a different story in MOST other vehicles on the road. Hope you are back...
Here is the link for what I found:

Edit: I think with this you may still want to do a matte clear coat or something.
I saw the guy who plasti-dipped the front bumper trim and it did look pretty good. I am thinking I may do that tonight, but I do not...
That is definitely on my list! I am really liking the black/GD look. How are you planning to do it?I'm debating a couple things:
1) Grille inserts/headlight trim: Do I want to plasti-dip the piece I have or order a new one for ~$140 with black primer? If I use my existing trim, should I use...
I took delivery today & had my new shoes put on. Pardon the crummy picture--I had to grab it and run straight to my softball game. More to come eventually..
Procomp Series 32 17X9
Nitto Terra Grappler G2 285/75R17
Oh yeah I ordered 4/3.
JLUS Granite Crystal, LSD, LED, Tow Package, Tan...
Ehh.. I probably don't endorse this... I am going to put 285/75R17 tires on my JLUS with -6 offset. They are 33.8" diameter--I think it will be fine, but with much flex I anticipate some rubbing on the rear fender. 285/75R18 would be 34.8" and that may REALLY push it. 285/70R18 is the same size...
yeesh, 51 pages. That is not a good sign!
Ordered 4/3. In JB for only two days now. I've ordered a JLUS in Granite Crystal. Loaded w/ everything except dual soft tops (seems to be an issue?), proximity & safety.
Best of luck to all my JB companions!
Kris, thanks for taking the time to take and post these pics! Definitely something worth considering.. I don't have many passengers though.. and I don't even have my ride yet so... TBD.
