That's interesting..seems to be completely different information. Everything else that has come out has stated a bigger ring gear.
Although the more searching I do the more it seems that the JK already had the 186mm and the 181mm is an older style dana 30.
Still, the ring gear and pinion are...
Thanks I’ll take a look and dig for passenger compartment wires. As far as the hood wires go..are the wires zip tied at all? All I see is a bunch of wires wrapped with zip ties and electrical tape
Let’s see the old d30 vs the new 186mm. I’d be interested to see those differences as well!
Anyone have the torque limits for the old d 30 and the new?
Anyone ever take a measurement? I took a stock measurement yesterday of my sport soft top/ 245/75r17’s. Close to 73”..at least from what I could tell.
I’m also really interested in 2” lift and 35’s height. My garage is about 82-83” tall. So I should be fine.
Sweet I think I am going to give these a try! I think I am going to try and fit 35's with no lift but run these spacers. Then throw the 2" mopar lift on. My buddy has it on his JK and it has treated him well.
Let us know for sure. You have the regular black sport wheels right? Not the sport s? I plan to put 35’s on but was going to get some 1.5” spacers. Even so I believe both sport and sport S wheels are the same width. According to jeeps site. 7.5
The JL sport axles are 1” wider than the JK axles...
When I first brought mine home I noticed a weird lock feeling in the steering wheel but only when I was backing up. I would turn and then stop turning the wheel but when I go back to turn again I feel it almost was locked for split second.
I have almost 500 miles now and have not felt it since
Sport with 245/75r17’s. Manual transmission. Odometer average is just over 20. Combo of city/highway with more city than highway.
In town trip I reset for work yesterday put me at just over 18.5. Only an 11 mile drive
35’s will change that
