They called today and said it was the seal in the axle that is leaking. Part is backordered, of course it is. Every parts seems to be.

I did check the brake fluid and that didn’t seem like it was low so that was good plus the brake pedal never felt anything different. Though braking had become a little more difficult, I was thinking probably due to whatever is leaking getting all over the brake pad and disk back there.

There was a good amount all over the wheel my husband said but I’ve only seen a small amount on the garage floor (quarter sized). He said it didn’t smell like sulphur. I made an appointment with Jeep for Monday morning. It doesn’t seem like brake fluid so it must be the axle.

Yes the rear axle by the wheel. No lift just the stock all terrain tires. Haven’t really taken it off roading yet just on the beach (which is so packed down it really isn’t off roading lol). Just moved from Florida to California though so drove it across the country.

Well I made it 8000 miles without any issues but today noticed some oil leaking from the rear end of the vehicle on the passenger side. Had my husband crawl under there and he said it’s all over the back passenger side wheel. I am assuming it is differential fluid? Would it be anything else?

Pretty much as tight as you can but still able to get them off relatively easy with your hands or else that defeats the purpose

Hahha yah, you will have to be confident in your parking skills. I am terrible at parking so I don’t park under it lol. When you close the window on it it’s more secure, the lift would hit the garage wall instead of your window.

I tried to get some measurements for you, it looks to be about 2 feet 4 inches. Also if you raise the lift enough to be able to close the back window it could free up another foot and 3 inches. ETA: scratch that last statement, I raised it to close the window and measured, it gives you and...

I got them to cut them in half for me at Home Depot. It worked out fine. I cut the 19 inch ones first, then the foot ones, then 6 inch ones then the 2.5inch ones. Had enough with some scraps too.

I haven’t measured that yet, I don’t park in front of it. I will measure this weekend when I take the top off again.

It seems pretty strong! It held my doors well today without any wiggle room. No locking wheels on it but it didn’t move from where I placed it last night. HF also had their pvc cutters for 5 dollars this weekend, not sure how much they usually are but they worked great for this especially since...

It really didn’t take too long except for my taping haha but seriously it’s not needed to be taped that much. Cutting and putting the pvc pipes together with the cement then adding the foam took about an hour at the most.
