Agree, but OP was in northern NE (Vt, NH, and ME), which is definitely colder than southern NE, particularly if one’s up near the Quebec border, so OP may need to concern themselves when it’s well below 0F. It’s something I’m trying to figure out this winter myself.
I live in Maine, so similar weather to you. I’m running on the K02s right now but since I only stick into 4H on snowy or icy roads, and am in 2H vast majority of the time, I can feel the rear end sliding out a fair amount when a little icy. My FWD Accord with winter tires slides less. However...
I did mine about the same day also. Figured out it’s better with a helper after I tried to remove the soft top myself and got my thumb slammed stuck between two of the rods when spring closed them together, and had to wait 15 minutes for my wife to get home to open up the bars. But I’m north of...
If anyone’s in Maine (or northern NE), give John Emerson at Bessey Motors a call. He’s the owner there. They’re in South Paris (an hour from either Portland or North Conway, NH). Super customer service!
Picked up the new JLUR today (6-speed, pretty much every option except leather). First time seeing the blue in person. Very glad I went with the OB!
Swapped out the hard top today - went topless but left doors on... at least so far.
Just got note from my dealer that my order arrived today! Worked with John Emerson with Bessey Motors in South Paris, Maine - great experience for any northern New England buyers.
I'm in Arizona so looking to get home and pick her up on Friday.
To both of you - thanks! Appreciate what you’ve done. It really was helpful to see it progress - even if stuck in some holding lot - that’s not your doing.
Yeah, less a worry - have had leather last 8 vehicles - figured I might need something on them - even to protect from stains, etc. Saw recommendations for 303 for the soft tops - was curious whether it'd be a good option on the seats too.
