had a oil change and dealer told me there was a small oil leak on the passenger side. appeared to pool near transmission. Does this sound like a Rear main leak? They want $150 for diagnosis.
Had similar issue with my Rubicon 40k miles. Dealer changed the water pump, but parts required a month long wait. Jeep has been running fine after the repair.
This might be a silly question, but would running slightly below (~20F) optimal temp cause the Jeep to run rich? Resulting in reduced power and fuel eco?
I don't believe they changed the thermostat. Its the 2.0L turbo. Coolant temp stays around 180-190 even with heater turned off. Its a bit colder out 38-40F ambient temperature. My engine oil temp stays around the same at coolant. Even after my 30min drive to work oil temp was 186F. Dealer states...
My oil temp runs low after a waterpump repair. Its a bit colder outside, but never seems to warm up past 190 - and currently at 185 after a 30min drive and idle.
Seems odd to me. Anyone have any ideas? The dealer says no codes have been found and things are total normal.
Thanks!
Recently got a coolant leak fixed with a new waterpump at the dealership. Now my coolant temp runs between 180-190, under load and idle.
Thought it might be a thermostat issue so I brought the Jeep back for reevaluation. Dealership found no issues and told me everything was normal. Not sure if...
I got the TSB completed few weeks ago. Had to bring the Jeep in 3 times to have it done. First they didn't have the gear box in time, then wrong bolts were ordered, and so on... I also have the off center steering wheel issue. Brought it back again, but still off center. Honestly regret getting...
Seems like there isn't a clear reason for this problem. Mine went out for a few days and came back one. Sometimes I feel like it happens when it rains? Wondering if anyone else has noticed that? Its definitely getting more frequent which is concerning.
Can someone explain the difference between the LoD Destroyer rock rails vs the Roam sliders? They look very similar and wondering if there is a difference besides of the cost. Kinda concerned about the Rust issues people post about Roam rails and wonder is the LoD has better finish worth the...
LED lights and paint match hardtop/fenders. Thought I would miss leather interior, but pretty happy with the cloth. Also can't believe I'm saying this, but pretty happy with the autobox, just didn't like the seating position for the manual. Although I do miss shifting my own gears.
Make sure to check your dipstick post dealership maintenance visits! I read a few posts about dealers over filling during oil changes, so I decided to check the dip stick over the weekend. My concerns were well warranted because reading exceeded oil MAX levels (around 1/3 - 1/4 inch over max)...
