I just called AEV on this issue. They acknowledged that they blew their April deadline for bumper release. He said it is not canceled, but with COVID he does not have any estimates for when it will be released.

I called AEV a few weeks ago with this questions. They confirmed that the license plate mounts to the outside of the step, and is visible when the step is in the folded up position. Also, they said they are shooting for a Q1 2019 release of the rear bumper

I also looked at that set-up, the only problem is that the passenger grab bar is different on the JL than the JK. I don't think it will work. Supposedly Cool Tech LLC is coming out with a JL mount by the end of the month, but I haven't seen anything yet.

Has anyone installed any of the Barricade bumpers for the JL? Extreme Terrain just released Barricade bumpers that are supposedly specific to the JL. Reviews say that Barricade makes decent middle of the road bumper so I might give it a shot.
