Nice Surf Ski! I don't think weight will be any problem!

We've had no issues with the rack. So far mostly used it for Bikes but I have taken kayaks on occasion. Only short (5-8 ft), light (around 30 lbs) whitewater boats but no issues on the interstate and 70-80 mph. The JL is my wife's daily driver so it's not my primary adventure vehicle.

Might want to try outdoor shops and pool supply places if you can't find it elsewhere. People use it on Kayaks to preserve the plastic so a lot of outfitters carry it and I guess pool covers maybe.

Yakima's Raingutter towers fit solidly. I've seen between 100 and 150 lbs thrown around for weight rating. Haven't tested it yet and will probably go light at first. The JL will only see boats occasionally and then only one or two. It's the hard top I'd be worried about as I've been abusing...

Doesn't seem to be. I'm in paint and I think a few other manuals are a good bit farther along. Hold ups seem to be color matched top and possibly the trail rail system.
