It’s better to start with harder to add things like the Lockers that come Stock on a Rubicon. I do have a 3.5 lift and 37’s but it was very capable before just needed ground clearance. I’ve ownd many Jeeps. True the Rubicon isn’t the end all be all but it’s a good start. I. My opinion o Moab...
The Moab Edition should Have lockers. True the Sahara has been around awhile that’s why the Rubicon is an Upgrade for off roading and is very capable “out of the box”. Not sure what you mean by a True off roader but I’ve had 2 and they have taken me anywhere I’ve Wanted to go.
Not today but 10 days ago. I already have the DV8 Beadlocks and the 47x13.5x17 Coopers STT pros on when I added the MetalCloak 3.5 Game Changer. Absolutely Love it.
I could do Forest service and daily driving and it handled and rode great. No real wheeling at all. A small spacer Lift and 35’s would do great but in my opinion a 2.5 with 37’s would be fine for Mild Wheeling. I did a 3.5 Metal Cloak. I know you can do 35’s or 37’s 12.5’s on The Factory...
I don’t Regret 37’s for a Second. Speedo is off a little. The JL with the 8 speed trans didn’t even notice. Scrubs a little in the back but I love it.
Got my Granite Crystal on 3/21. So far I’ve changed Tires and Wheels. Hope to install a 3.5 Metal Cloak when it comes out. DV8 Beadlocks, 37x13.5x17’s. Coopers STT Pro’s. Need to paint the rings. That’ll be the next project.
