Make sure to run it through a hot-water wash to ensure it's actually oxidizing and its not simply pollutants or pollen caked onto the grill. In Pennsylvania we have a lot of limestone in the earth and a ride down the highway can cause white cars to look yellow. Similarly, if you park near...
So I may know what the storage situation was and it didn't have anything to do with the paint. A colleague of mine ordered a Compass back in January and took delivery in early February. The Compass is manufactured in the Mexican plant, but its computer components are the same used in the Ohio...
I didn't find the wind noise or general outside noise to be offensive with the premium soft top. Don't get me wrong, the cabin is far from "luxury-quiet," but that should be expected. What I did find jarring was the first time I drove the soft top in the rain. It's considerably louder hearing...
This was taken seconds after I spotted it in the dealership lot for the first time. The dream was officially a reality.
A cool memento I plan on keeping forever.
I deliberately park my car around the corner of my office building and take the longer walk to the front door every day just so...
Who let you in here??
Just kidding. I actually saw a Trailhawk out in the snow and thought it was pretty cool. That said, you need to recognize that - no matter how you slice it - the renegade is the "baby brother" of the Jeep family. So, like all other baby brothers, you need to be prepared...
I have some in my garage already - but I'll post some nicer photos when the weather gets better here in Philly. For now - here's the collection of iPhone photos i've taken thus far:
Taken this morning
3 inches of snow already and it's still falling
First time I laid eyes on my JLU. I...
This is my first Wrangler and I'm loving that every other Wrangler on the road is giving me waves when I'm out driving. I also had a fair number of JK and even TJ owners approach me and ask for my opinion on the JL. It's been really fun.
This morning I had an awkward encounter at a red light...
I spent a long time on the phone with my dealership and Jeep's customer service team over the past few weeks, trying to understand why my deliver ETA keeps getting pushed back. After doing some independent research, I learned that Jeep works off of what's called a "demand-based shipping"...
Well - it would appear that I spoke too soon. I just got off the phone with Jeep customer service and I have a call into my dealership again. I checked on the status of my car earlier today with Jeep Chat and they moved the ETA back yet another week. No one can explain what the delay is this...
Yeah - i'm buying instead of leasing, so i think the process is a little easier. They gave me a killer price on the car and I'm really happy that we locked it in prior to the price hike. I'm beside myself with excitement.
Chapman Jeep of Warrington. It's been a really good experience thus far. Very transparent - even when they didn't have good news to share. I'm working with a salesman named John and he's been really good to me. I'd highly recommend them if you're at all interested.
Quick Update: I got confirmation this morning that my shipping arrangements have been confirmed and that my jeep is on its way to the dealership. So it sounds like the information I got yesterday has been validated. Hopefully there are more people who get similarly good news today :)
I've checked 3 times per day, every single day since I got my VON and VIN. 8am, 12pm, and 5pm. I also e-mail my dealership at least 3 times per week and I've called Jeep Cares about 10 times.
Take it from me - I used to work in the auto industry way back when - the dealership will make sure...
Hey All,
First - I can confirm there is delay stemming from the premium soft tops:
Additionally, I just had a lengthy call with the folks at Jeep Cares and my dealership and got the full scoop on the delays.
1) The premium soft tops are in stock and are being applied to orders as we speak...
can I get some credit for coming up with the tagline?
