  1. Solving long clutch on manual JL

So I went to test drive a manual JL unlimited and noticed the clutch has ridiculously long travel requiring me to sit too close for comfort to reach it. Are there any recommendations for clutch extenders? Saw someone write something similar in another thread but no real recommendations... if...
  2. Manual Transmission - Adaptive Cruise Control?

Thank you all for the answers! I was curious how it could work, makes total sense. Being in LA stop and go traffic is just a reality of life sometimes. I'm literally trying to decide between a Tesla Model S or an Unlimited right now, but have mostly driven stick vehicles since I learned how...
  3. Manual Transmission - Adaptive Cruise Control?

Was about to finally order my 2019 today but was curious if anyone knows if Adaptive Cruise Control will be available with a manual? My initial thoughts are no, but waiting on the dealer to respond. Anyone know the answer here?
  4. New (potential) Jeep owner with a dumb question....

Well, that was merely the first situation that popped up in my head. In retrospect i'd probably take one of my other full time AWD SUV's on that type of road, but my point still stands - wouldn't it have made more sense to have full time AWD to be able to handle all situations in the Rubicon...
  5. Girls think that the hottest car is the Jeep...

Was just doing research before ordering a JL, and this randomly came up on Youtube. Apparently the Jeep is the hottest vehicle out there for a guy to drive (if you care about that at all).. haha
  6. New (potential) Jeep owner with a dumb question....

I'm kind of in the same boat. I do go offroading every now and then but am not rock crawling or doing anything that "hardcore". For me having full time AWD is pretty high on the list. There's definitely times where i've driven and you hit patches where it's slippery and others where it's not...
  7. New (potential) Jeep owner with a dumb question....

I think you've answered my question. I just have experiences from my past off-road capable SUV's like the Range Rover/Land Cruiser/G-wagen where they were always full time AWD, and when the going got tough you either switched modes, or actually switched it to a low transfer case gear
  8. New (potential) Jeep owner with a dumb question....

Maybe I should rephrase my question. It appears that with every model OTHER than the Sahara, you can ONLY drive in 2WD OR 4WD (high or low). However, it's not a good idea to use 4WD on the pavement because of wheel hop. So I'm wondering, is the only way to have AWD all the time to get the...
  9. Looking for a little insight on going from a "performance car" to a new Wrangler JL

I can totally vibe with you. For me it was always one sports car, one SUV. For the SUV it was everything from a range rover, to an AMG G-wagen, to a Land Cruiser but I had always had a special spot for Jeeps because I felt like they were everything you needed and nothing extra and there's...
  10. New (potential) Jeep owner with a dumb question....

Well the saying is there's no dumb ones, but I was in the process of getting my first Wrangler, and couldn't figure out if I wanted to get the Rubicon or the Sahara. After lurking I realized the Rubicon is a great deal, but it seems to be missing the all-important full time AWD of the Sahara...
