After flip flopping between the Tacoma and JL for the last 2 months I went with the Taco. I love the Rubicon but unfortunately I had to be practical and the Tacoma won. Not nearly as off road capable as the Jeep but its comfortable, quite and reliable. And the cement color is gorgeous!
I’m interested in a new Rubicon and was going with the steel bumpers so I could possibly add a winch later. I might be better off without and getting aftermarket bumpers when they become available. What’s your thoughts on this?
I’d like to keep the weight down as much as possible.
Hmmm, not sure what the off road pages is or the sound deadening windshield is.
Also, my wife kind of wants the blind spot monitoring system but I'm not sold on it yet. I need to spend more time here as I need to get this purchase right. At my age this could be my last vehicle.
I’m going for the standard one piece hard top instead. If I were 18 I’d insist on the soft top. I had a Scout once, I took the hard top off and was miserable. I put it back on and left it. Nice thing about the Jeep is you can have it your way.
I’m in The Dalles Oregon. I’ve never seen a JL, my local dealer said there still a few weeks out. They do of course have the oldest versions. They have suggested that we take one out for a few hours, I might do that later this week.
Yesterday I found a list of dealers offering good prices. I copied an email and pasted it with my message but it came back undelivered. Now I can't find that list. Can one of you point me in the right direction?
