Yeah, DW starts abruptly. Mine came on just after the 30K Service. Dealer replaced the Steering Stabilizer under warranty an it seems to be fixed (you never know, because it takes the right bump to trigger it, but it's definitely better). And yes, I know the stabilizer shouldn't be the cause...
It's just another way for dealers to make more money. They can markup on the cheap stuff higher, so that's what they use and people can roll the mods into the loan, which makes the dealer more money. Having a dealership is like a license to print money.
I've actually considered doing that, but I think I'll wait a bit to see how long it takes them. FCA (and Chrysler before them) has always been terrible about having parts on the ground ready for repairs... it seems like everything is backordered.
Yeah, I don't expect the Stabilizer to fix it, hence the reason for Question #2... Jeep has a list of things to try in order and they go down the list until it's "fixed." (All manufacturers do this). It's just frustrating. I would have waited to take it in until the fuel pump installation, but...
My stock 2021 developed the death wobble shortly after the 30,000 mile service (and tire rotation). Jeep's answer "it needs a new Steering stabilizer, which is on backorder." Does Jeep have any part that isn't on backorder??? (I've been waiting over a year for the fuel pump).
I called Jeep...
Too late the damage is done (my son opened the door, and our dog was so excited that he jumped out... the problem was he was still attached to his harness and that scratched the rear flare). I need something thick enough so that the scratch doesn't telegraph though.
In 4 auto, the front axle shouldn't engage until the transfer case senses slippage... then typically a viscous coupler engages the front output shaft and you're in 4wd. It's great for slick wet/snowy roads. I would have gotten it, but it wasn't available on the EcoDiesel
The U-Haul trailers are actually pretty nice (check it over first, though). I completely filled one bringing my son home last year and it pulled fine behind my EcoDiesel. You're under the weight rating and the 4xE has plenty of torque (the latter has zero to do with the tow rating, but it...
My 2021 40th Anniversary Diesel is my daily driver and I love it. (I've had a TJ and 2 JKs... each generation is better than the previous and these (especially the JLs) are nothing like the 4x4s of old)
I had the same conversation with my cousin when he bought a trailer. The Trailering package is a hitch and the wiring (4 and 7 pin). If you want (electric) brakes to work, you need the controller. I used the MOPAR unit, because it was plug and play (but not 20 minutes) and looks very clean...
I've used an Andersen 2 and 2 5/16) for years. It handles any trailer I'd need to tow. You want that trailer level to go down the road (and the jeep should drop down about 1 1/2 inches when you hook it up, to have good weigh distribution... not tongue heavy ot tongue lite)
After Tire Pressure I'd try is swapping tire positions (start with left to right). (Tires are often out of spec). If it's the tires, then go back to the dealer and ask for new tires. If it still pulls right, find a really good alignment shop in your area have them check the alignment and look...
The steering will fight you quickly and it will stress the driveline until something breaks (how long that takes 'depends,' but something will break at some point (my concern is the transfer case or front differential, which I'm sure both are reasonably priced)
The last couple of vehicles I bought had a disclaimer that the buyer signed about the emblem (could be a local thing), but it shouldn't be a problem for them to leave it off. If it's already on, it will come off pretty easily and I doubt it will leave much adhesive residue (Goof-Off if it...
I would get the money back now... Don't wait... The closer you get to delivery, the less likely they'll do anything, because they've decided that they have you. Talk to the consumer protection people, a news station or even Jeep cares, (yeah, I know that last one is a stretch, but this is shady)
If I follow this correctly, you gave them $1,000 to get them to negotiate a deal at a later date. Where does it say that it's non-refundable? If it's on a contract, what else does it say? 1) Get Vroom, Carvana and CarMax prices (I know you did that). That's more than any dealership will give...
