  1. UConnect 5

I would agree, but with the Bronco having Ford's newest Sync system, I can't imagine Jeep can afford to have software that gets to be 7-8 years old before updating. The lower trims of the GC L have an 8" UConnect5, I have to think that Jeep will find a way to incorporate that into the interior...
  2. UConnect 5

It hurts my soul that the Compass is getting UConnect5 before the Wrangler. Jeep just revealed the Compass redesign for 2022 (coming this fall)- exterior looks largely the same, but the interior looks incredibly premium for the price point the Compass (even the higher trims) is at. I have to...
  3. 50 MPGe - What that really means

I think MGPe is the best we are going to have for a while as it does relate to something people know. When you're in a vehicle that is fully electric the metric that is easier to use (that actually relates to the fuel (battery) capacity is mi/kWh. In ideal conditions (nice weather, city driving)...
  4. 50 MPGe - What that really means

This really depends, but you'd be surprised at how efficient these powertrains can be. In the past 4 years I've owned 2 Wranglers ('07 JKU, '18 JLU), one standard hybrid (Kia Optima) 2 fully electric cars (e-Golf, LEAF SL PLUS). There is a benefit to the highway that you'll see and that's...
  5. UConnect 5

You're right, the interior on the JL is really nice and not dated at all currently. I guess the 2 UConnect 5 systems that have come out have been on 10" screens (at least on the reviews I've seen). I'm sure there's smaller systems that will integrate into the Wrangler dash without a major...
  6. UConnect 5

When do you guys anticipate we'll see UConnect 5 in the Wrangler lineup? It's starting to show up in 2021 FCA models as it is in the redesigned Pacifica and it's in the newly debuted Grand Cherokee L and maybe others I'm missing. Do you think we'll see an interior refresh for the Wrangler in the...
  7. Ohio BaT - 2006 LJ Wrangler - 1,600 miles

Not sure if this allowed and it's not mine, but I thought people would be interested to see this and see what it goes for. On bringatrailer.com there's a 1,600 mile 2006 LJ listed for auction here: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2006-jeep-wrangler-unlimited-10/ Already well over $20,000 -...
  8. Wrangler JL plug in hybrid release date

I would have to think it would be very similar to the Pacifica PHEV which uses the 3.6L V6 with a 16kWh battery. The hybrid system jumps the combined mpg from 22 mpg (combined) to 30mpg (combined) with an all electric range of about 32 miles.
  9. Tuffy security deck for JL Wrangler

I feel like the whole point of these types of products are to allow for a lockable storage space when you've got the soft top down. If the soft top fails to lock in the down position, I feel like this product doesn't deliver on what it's main purpose should be. Sure it provides more security if...
  10. Bike Rack Options??

Here's a tire mounted 2-bike bike rack that's compatible with the JL. https://www.quadratec.com/p/allen-sports/deluxe-2-bike-spare-tire-mounted-bike-rack-jeep-wrangler-jl

Would love to hear a sound clip if you get a chance. Definitely interested in doing something similar, but can't bring myself to pull the trigger without a little more info.

Bump to $750 and I'm including TPMS so you don't have to worry about buying new sensors ($250) or having to pay to break down both sets of tires so you can swap your existing sensors into these.
