Dealer says they replicated the problem and it's a throttle position sensor failure. They have order the parts for replacement but have not given me an ETA for when it will be fixed.
3 months later.... I started my JLU after work and it was in limp mode again with all the same CELs as the original issue. Brought it to the dealer and hope to have it back in a week or so.....
This was a week or so ago, but I have an update to this issue.
After letting the JL sit for 3 days without being driven. I hopped in it and started it up. Dash lit up the same as before when I was on trail... The idle bounced up and down very strangely. I turned it off and back on, did it...
Dealer didn't do anything for me and Jeep Cares told me there's nothing to do unless it happens again...
I haven't had any issues since but it's only seen pavement.
Added some pics to the OP. I don't see how the dealer couldn't pull a code history either. They just sent me on my way and told me to "keep and eye on it." I wasn't going to fight them about it because I was still trying to provide a good birthday weekend for the lady and didn't want to waste...
I tried turning traction control off and on. Button acted like it was disabled, nothing happened when I pushed it. I can't recall how long I held it down.
I'm guessing speed sensor as well, went crazy when water from a puddle froze to it. No reason it should have went into limp mode and dealer had no solution for me.
New JLU owner here with less than 1k miles. My fiance and I decided to take our new JLU Sport on a 30 mile trail up to Duluth, MN. This trail is rated as "Easy" and is mostly just a scenic dirt road. The trail had some snow and ice which made it a bit more technical but still a beginner level...
My Sport arrived last Friday, 5 weeks after placing my order. I'm in love. It's everything I hoped it would be a much more. Finding every excuse I can to drive it. I've already gotten it dirty and have planned an off-road trip at the beginning of April.
